- I'm not sure about the rest of the world, but in the last few decades, the way marriages are changing in our country, I'm not sure what I should really tell young people about marriage, or whom to look for. There are no foolproof methods to this madness. On being recently asked what kind of a person should one look for, my half-baked advice was - "Find someone you can speak at length with." That would be a great start.
We spend millions on weddings and nothing on teaching our kids about whom to commit their lives to, or who may be 'compatible'. That needs to change if we want happier relationships, especially the long-term committed kinds.
My experience with relationships is very limited, but hey, I have an opinion, and at the risk of being socially awkward, I suggest that people be allowed to live with each other for a substantial period of time before they are even allowed to commit and get married. After the initial euphoria, hormones and drive have subsided, if people still want to be together, by all means, spend those millions that you have saved, and invite everyone to join the ball.

👏 Sir, like me I am sure there are lot of NRIs feel close to their roots through your great words and views. We do want to carry these to our children who probably are slightly lagging behind in the breadth of our great language .... is there a way to choreograph these little more with English highlighting the key areas .... You do a lot .... a little more thought in this may be ..🙏... always looking forward
