  • Dacia unveils the All-New Sandero, third generation model with a completely new, reinvented design. Following in the footsteps of its illustrious predecessor, the new model offers increased style, equipment and versatility whilst retaining the fundamentals of simplicity and reliability.
From a single model to a comprehensive, diversified range with 6.5 million customers, Dacia has transformed the automotive sector since 2005 to the present day. Sandero has become the emblematic model and since 2017 it has been the best-selling car in Europe.
    Contemporary and dynamic design
With its shoulders and marked wheel arches, the All-New Sandero exudes a strong personality and an impression of robustness. However, the overall design is more streamline, thanks to a more sloping windshield, a lower roofline, a flowing roofline and a radio antenna placed at the end of the roof. Despite unchanged ground clearance, the All-New Sandero feels lower and more grounded, thanks in part to wider tracks and flush-mounted wheels.
    A new light signature
The front and rear optics inaugurate Dacia's new Y-shaped light signature. Thanks to this lighting, this third generation has a strong identity. A horizontal line joins the two headlamps at the front and rear and extends into their respective lighting lines, helping to visually broaden the models.
A new generation of icons with the undiminished promise of being ever smarter, ever more accessible and ever more Dacia.

Having come across a video of the Jogger as we were thinking of buying an estate car I was intrigued as I had never heard of Dacia, even the Top Gear references passed me by somehow! However we decided that a 7 seater was too big so I started looking at the Dacia range, and decided that the Sandero Comfort bi-fuel looked the business. I talked to other long term Dacia owners whenever I came across them and joined a Dacia forum which has proved invaluable. It was a long wait before our vehicle was delivered, due to the chip shortage etc. but hand on heart it was well worth the wait. It's an absolute joy to drive, comfortable, lively and at 75p a litre for LPG and doing about 39 mpg economical. I appreciate LPG doesn't give as good milage as petrol, but at that price I'm not complaining, plus you get another 10 hp in that mode. We've had the vehicle about 16 months, covered over 10k miles and it's been faultless. One thing which annoys me us magazines like Which? list Dacias in the main as a Don't Buy, simply because of the poor NCAP rating as it doesn't have every bell and whistle on the planet attached, many of which get switched off from what I've read in certain forums! As far as I'm concerned our car has everything I require including reversing camera anti collision braking etc, but best of all knobs and button controls instead of a faffing touch screen interface, which in my view is dangerous and inconvenient. It's hard to believe but we paid less for a brand new Dacia in 2022 than the previous Meriva which we bought new in 2015! Would I recommend a Sandero? Undoubtedly. Would I buy another? In a heartbeat.

Just thinking about range, my first Dacia sandero, was a 2014 1.5 dci. Sadly diesel isn't available in Sanderos anymore, but many times I'd go out on a long run, then top up, and the onboard computer would give me a range of about 950 miles. Granted, I'd have to drive perfectly to keep that range, but that's mad. Was an excellent engine, that always started, and drank very little.

Ok here we go I bought my first Dacia stepway in 2014 it was 1.5 diesel and yes why the interior whilst very plastic and spartan and the gear change was very naughty I really liked it it was in Lloret spec how to throw a couple of years and then moved up to a duster in 2016 and I was lucky because I managed to buy the facelift duster , Sonic had things like diamond cut alloys and a reversing camera are there any reason I sold it is because I didn't need a diesel anymore otherwise I probably still have it to this very day. And now my brother is literally just gone out and bought a Stepway journey in that lovely green colour drove it yesterday and I thought it was fantastic and how well it's come on over the years so that's my opinion of brand.cheers Phil form Newark.

I am very pleased with my Sandero III Essential except for one thing, and that is the ride comfort. You say it is soft, but mine feels quite hard and "jiggly". Is my car faulty? Can anything be done about it? Otherwise it is a really good car, over 55mpg, and approximately 600miles range.

They have a pdf file for extra options on dacia website you have to download and give that references to your dealer. I only had to source same size alloy wheels by my self from Germany and fit the automatic air con by my self too by sourcing the parts from Europe. The automatic air conditioning needs complete airbox from the dacia Stepway prestige and new digital dials. It's not something you can do by yourself if you don't know what you are doing. The alloy wheels cost me less than 400£ brand new . For those interested the alloy wheels are cms c22 15 inch et40. ET is the wheel offset which is 40mm same as the original rims.

Sandero Stepway would give you a slightly raised ride height and the clever roof rails that can double up as roof bars.
