I have been there too many times to count in my life. When you have a defendant such as this one and what he has done this whole trial, even the most level headed person can be broken. It was entirely appropriate for the DA to make the speech. Now, it is on the record, as well as why the evidence was being presented to the court. On top of that, she explained that she could introduce even more evidence, which she has declined to do for his benefit. They know he is going to appeal. With her speech, she has made it evident to all that the court and prosecutors have strived to hold a fair trial throughout.

Many can say all this behavior is unacceptable, but in his mind it is the way he has functioned all his life. If he was never corrected the proper way, do not fault him. But it seems they will give to a point leeway until it is time to sentence. Our society all of us are at fault, if the behavior is left to its demise in a negative destructive way. The outcome is going to be negative and destructive. If you were in that same situation, you would get a lawyer, but he is standing alone doing this for himself and learning how to. He knows he is guilty and that he will spend the rest of his life in prison, but he is willing to take a chance, regardless of his behavior, taking a chance to defend himself. What I’ve learned from watching this trial is : As a whole the people of Wisconsin are genuinely very very kind and helpful , tolerant people ! From the detectives to the officers to the Judge and the prosecution even the defense that were fired but still tried to leave the defendant with as much information as possible so he could defend himself properly, also the man that let a total stranger into his home to wait for an Uber instead of waiting in the cold ! Darrell Brooks is guilty of murder and has absolutely no remorse for the beautiful lives he has taken and the trauma and pain he has caused . He is not worthy of the breath of life he has been given , he is a textbook narcissist he is the most unintelligent person I’ve ever witnessed !!!! I believe God will even put down this child with no remorse Yet he will be able to live out his life , unlike his victims 🥲

Not to mention totaling his mom's SUV that she paid for. What insurance company is going to pay after someone used a vehicle as a deadly weapon, none! This is one of the most horrific mass murders in American history and the dude keeps telling the court he wants respect. Unbelievable!
