With this, the jury is witnessing the psychology behind the crime as well. This will certainly help the jury make their decision to find him guilty without any hesitation.
And I’m just referring to HIS behavior being frustrating to the jury. I didn’t even bring up the trauma this case can have on their mental health as well. Hearing from medical examiners, seeing photos and videos, hearing from victims, impact statements, etc. that’s a lot for people and to have the power to make the decision on someone’s freedom, it can be a mind f**k. I’m really sick of people who have absolutely no ability to grasp why the judge would be as lenient and put up with as much as she has. It’s almost as if the notion of an approved appeal, or mistrial, is completely foreign to them. It’s not a difficult concept.
As far as I'm concerned he forfeited his rights when he killed 6 people with his car. He should get nothing less than the death penalty for what he did.
The problem is they are opening the door to allow every criminal to do the same thing when they go on trial. They need to set an example that this type of behavior has no place in the American criminal justice system. Indulging this fool is giving permission to every other fool to do the same
I think it’s easy to understand the concept of a mistrial or approved appeal. However, the length this man has went is absurd. You can not openly interrupt the judge and other attorneys. On top of that, 90% of the words this man spoke of are completely irrelevant to the trial process. I just find it hard to believe it’s simply out of fear of a mistrial. However, I am no lawyer so take this with a grain of salt! Just dumbfounded nothing was done until he literally threw a temper tantrum and she called for a break.
I've seem too much of this too and there's only so many times you can explain it to people. The founding documents that give you all the rights you enjoy in a constitutional republic include the right to self representation in a court of law, and just because you get an extreme person now and then doesn't mean that you should change them. Judge Dorow has had to balance the rights of the defendant with the rights to self representation, which make Brooks much more visible, but in doing so It has actually been a gift to the Prosecution. The more you see of him, the more you see his true colours. As I write, the jury found him guilty and didn't deliberate for long at all. I hope that once they have put some distance between themselves and the trial that they will watch what happened during all of the times they were herded out of the courtroom, and see the full extent of his abusive behaviour.

Just dumbfounded nothing was done until he literally threw a temper tantrum and she called for a break.
that doesn't mean letting these lowlifes make a circus of the proceedings or mock the authority of the court. you gotta shut those antics down asap.
