I live a few years in a studio like this one, almost identical (one big room with bed area and kitchen and full bathroom, but not so modern) in Madrid and love it! For a single man these studios are the best, small, have everything you need and easy to clean, easy to warm and with small bills. Many people of the comments just never live in one studio and can't understand how many people want apartments like that. When I work the least I want is to lose time cleaning a big apartment when I only need a one functional space. Studio make it possible clean all the apartment in few minutes and at the same can cook, have a full bathroom and all you need to live everyday there. These apartments are really good for single workers and bussinessmen (or even a young couple), because allow you to live in some really dynamic street and at the same time save space if you want only the basic utilities. Its really lovely to have metro near, return from work, fix some food fast and just enjoy the free time (like me playing on my Playstation), warm and cosy in your little but fancy apartment, its like you little kingdom where you know where is everything and another plus is that you learn how to live with the necessary, nothing more because you haven't more space to waste like always happen in big houses or apartments. Really modern building, lovely apartment and at top of that in a brand new zone in Moscow, with no doubt if I could I pay the price to live there.

In fact, 1-2 bedroom, quite furnished ones, are available in half of this price, you are right. I mean, real bedrooms, not a hotel room with tiny kitchen corner like here.

Your comment makes we wonder where you live? In the English speaking world the trend has been for open plan living for decades now - kitchen dining living all in one big space. And that's in houses. In a a small apartment that's the only layout which makes best use of the space.
Very light and clean! I love how these are always furnished. No worries, just move in, even a TV. Like a hotel room! Moscow prices are a bit higher nowadays but still cheaper than in western cities.

Really beautiful building and i love that studio, great design but i think rent is pretty high or maybe thats normal price in new builts? I love these apartment tours.👌🥰
It is, indeed. Thing is, 20% yearly interest rate makes it impossible to take a loan of $200 000+ for these apartments rn. OK, maybe $150 000 for this one. Well, anyway, it creates a demand pressure for the rental market so prices went up considerably in the last 6 months.
Exactly, the area where it's located. 2 metros stations in walking distance, and an overland train as well. Along with this being a business class apartment building.
Love it! I’d pay that to live there! I’m an American pensioner so this would be affordable for me. If there was one next to it for my husband that would be perfect! How much would a 2 bedroom be? Is there one on a higher floor? You always ask for ideas. I would like to see a ‘stahlinka’ (sp?) the luxury apartments of yesteryear.
@Nerdo-5212 For pension better to take home, with land to grow strawberries and tomatoes, forest and river for walking. It can be even cheaper. From other side in Moscow is over 400 museums, it is need several years to visit each, a lot of famous theaters and rest entertainments.

Do you have bigger ones to show?it's very interesting. Moscow is beautiful. We really didn't realize this. God bless the Russian people and America. We believe we are friends not enemies. Loved the videos of the grocery stores. Just recently found your videos.
That is called a kitchenette and that was a microwave by the fridge. I loved the underground parking they offer. You won't have to scrape ice and snow in the mornings.
very nice, the concierge is a nice addition, only 5km from Red Square is a great location, aiming for being there for Victory Day parade 2025 and working towards it.
This is just new district, former industrial place, that’s why so cheap. There are a lot examples when similar (and even smaller) apartments have price of several thousands.
Thanks for educating me! Seriously who would of thought that this would be so interesting to learn about? I must say those are some sophisticated rentals, but no way could I ever live in a 20 story apartment building. That's me personally, no harm intended. Again thank you and stay warm!
I know you mainly do Moscow as your content. But if you ever get the chance, you should go to Saratov and show what apartments are there for the same price. Ive checked them out and the difference is huge. Yes Moscow is big and has better infrastructure but Saratov apartments (new ones) are like palaces for the same price and I'm not even joking. Also they have the luxury train to Saratov which you could make a video out of itself. Could be a cool adventure.

you can buy literally whatever you want here, but prices for western brands which “left” are 15-25% higher than it used to be prior to sanctions - the goods come from other countries now (Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkey, et cetera)
I can't complain about this, since I love the series, but let's be real, a 2-3 bedroom apartment would look better, then we can see how an average family lives and rent prices.
Это очень дорого) Мы однушку снимали (не такую крутую) за 35000 рублей, и она была больше данной студии. До метро было минут 10 - Марьино или Борисово.
You're doing a great job on these videos, and I love the apartment tours, but I would also love to see the neighborhoods they're in if you could showcase that as well.
This is a very nice apartment. Here in New Zealand, we don't have such 'business class' apartments. You just get a studio; it may look nice but ends up being super expensive ...around $600+ NZD per week
About 387 Australian Dollars per week. In Sydney Australia we pay 740 per week for a one bedroom in a good area shops and schools but to jump 200 per weekly in Sydney. Russel is to much here. . Not to mention electricity almost double per quarter and gas then water. Just far to much. As law is not to pay this electricity gas at a fraction of this price only. It's shameful. Thank you, Russel. Great video we like to see if not any problem a two-room Moscow new for rental be very good. All the best and Merry Christmas 🎅 🌟 Hugs from down under. ✨🎄✨☦️🌹🇷🇺
Yes Sydney is more expensive but the average wage is much higher. People who move from overseas find work fairly easy here but moving to Moscow would be far more difficult unless you spoke Russian and had a special high paying job or worked off a laptop.
We have relatives in Russia 🇷🇺 both Doctors and here in Sydney the wages are better like say courier much better and massive need in the building trade in Russia I say bills like food electricity gas water 💧 fuel and education are really good 🇷🇺Education great lot better for there future technology is amazing as well. It's future that you care about not just today! They all have the dollar there in there currency. Australian dollar follows U.S Always keep up with that. God Bless. ❄️
Thanks for the video! Russel just doesn't want to shock everyone with the prices for a large apartments, 2-3-4 bedrooms. It’s Moscow, baby. The prices are high.
I imagine the salaries are much better in Moscow, so the people can afford the prices. I worked in Northern NJ back in the early 2000’s because I was being paid $50/hr back then as a nurse. Southern NJ was paying about half that much. I chose to live in the middle of NJ (Monmouth County) where the rentals were still good value relative to the area and make the 1+ hour drive to Morris County for the higher wages.
In germany this kind of houses are called "wohnsilo" residential silo. It is not very popular but it is affordable. This silo´s are often in bad conditions in germany.
Beautiful apartment. Nice attention to detail. And beautiful building overall. I love the heated toilet lol. I think it is a bit pricey for its size. That's just my opinion. Say hi to Yuri for me! 🙂

Suburbs are growing at 200% rate. We live 50km from big city in a house built in 60s, we can order any delivery like in a big city, fiber-optic internet and new houses and services grow like mushrooms. You can build a brand-new big house for 50k dollars value and we're planning to build one.
13 million people live in Moscow, not counting tourists and migrant workers. It will be under 20 million in total. Due to traffic jams, the road from the suburbs can be very long.
There are many attractive subarb neighborhoods in Moscow where you can buy a family house or a pice of land and build your own house like a Canadian family in Nizhny Novgorod. Check their chanel out, it's called Countryside Acres.
@@Semargle it's not that long if you take subway which is 1000 times better, safer, wider in network and more modern than any subway in the States or Europe. And the trains depart every minute.
That looks quite nice, ... for a hotel. In the US, you can get a room very similar to that in an Extended Stay hotel for about the same money. The differences are the hotel does not require a 1st and last months rent and security deposit. All utilities including wifi and cable are included. Free parking. Laundry center, business meeting rooms, mailbox, swimming pool, gym, dishes, pots and pans included.
Pretty comparable for a studio where I live in US. My eldest son pays $1300/mo for a one bdrm/1 bath apt in Asheville, NC. It's really nice, though not brand new. His place has a dog park, a pool 24 access laundry & workout room.
The real million-dollar question should’ve been: can you even pay it off when mortgage rates in modern Russia start at 30% and are skyrocketing anywhere but straight to the moon?
There not that high, plus if your a family with children you get preferential mortgage rates. Plus, a lot of people would pay cash for these places, and buy them years ago well before the start of construction.
I’m wondering if they have 1-2 bedrooms apartments for sale and how much. Nice and modern looking buildings. The price for the studio in my opinion quite high, but it’s my own opinion. Thank you Russell. Mary Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your wife!
Of course, 2-room apartments from about $ 220,000 and above are for sale, 4-room apartments from $ 300,000 and above, there are studios and apartments from 1 to 4 rooms, square meters from 26 to 103 (Google translate) :)
It reminds me of apartments in Toronto. Personally, it feels more like a hotel suite than a flat. I used to live in a studio and hated to have kitchen in the same space as bedroom. The giant bed is what I once had in Canada I hated it. I prefer a Murphy bed to such a space or a loft bed with a desk below the bed. I will prefer to have two rooms or 1 bedroom in a less fancy building from 80s or 90s and own furniture. I wonder how the floor to ceiling windows are practical for the Russian winter. I had this in a short-term stay in Calgary, Canada and it was a nightmare with -20. Unless windows are of excellent terman isolation quality. I think this is amazing, business-class short-term stay. Not so good for long term, for me at least.
@5:55 could have made that table a bit bigger. That room def needs the retractable bed or even a raised bed so as to put furniture underneath like a sofa or something. I've lived in a studio before. They are rather cozy if you get a good one
I do have a question that I don’t see mentioned in these videos, where are the dryers typically in these apartments and how rare are both a washer and a dryer in an apartment?
I dunno about those smaller apartments, but in regular ones you'll pretty much always have a washing machine which also has a drying function. Afaik actual separate dryers aren't a common thing in Russia.
Nowadays it's a combo - washer and dryer in one unit. PS. personally I hate these "eco" dryers but it's getting harder and harder to buy good old school dryer.
So, because it is in Moscow itself, this is why it is twice the price of the one you showed on your last video? Does this price include a parking space in the garage?
But I really can’t, and not for the apartment in itself but because those chicken coops buildings and neighbourhoods are all alike and very similar to the ones of the soviet era. Isn’t Russia the largest country on earth? Why then build so high and tight.
Canadian here. With the supposedly housing crisis, Canada could definitely need to build more of these types of units. They could be a little bit bigger, but as a single person myself who doesn't need much space. Affordability would be another cause of concern. How many working homeless out there that just can't afford a place to call home
9:17. In the states we put the laundry(&dryer) in the closet, not bathroom. I think it's better this way. The bathroom would have a sink with doors below for bathroom storage.
That's handy having a pull out sofa bed right where you walk in. Imagine if you were in a hurry to get out at night and forgot the sofa bed was open, lol.
Toronto, Canada. Same size as many furnished studios in new construction. But nicely furnished, with good kitchen and bathroom. Cdn $ conversion for Moscow studio around $1,300. Rent for furnished studio in Toronto, Canada (big city) would be $2,000 - $2,500 per month plus parking. Could go to $3,500 if studio was in downtown section where most financial, legal and white collar companies located.
The new modern apartment you showed 3 days ago was much nicer. What I don't like about this one, is that one has the bed in the kitchen. I suppose if one owned the apartment, one could furnish it differently and it could be very nice.
The flat is tidy and the building is super nice, but I would feel like I was living in a hotel room in a flat like that. It would be great if used for corporate purposes, such as traveling business people, for instance, who need short-term accommodation.
Dear Mr. Russell, the studios apartements in Moscow, the new studios, are VERY, VERY, VERY EXPENSIVE and I wonder how is possible to live there the majority of russian people !!! Here in Greece and especially in Athens, in a very good suburb very near to the sea (a rich suburb), in second floor and a apartement of 4 rooms (big salon and 3 bedrooms, big separate kitchen and 2 bathrooms, very big balcons), a building of 10 years old like a new building, the rent is about 800 euros !!! Of course are more expensive than Russia, the prices of electricity, water, telephone and internet. And of course the conditions in Health and Education in Greece are not better than Russia. That's all. Thank You very much.

Definitely pricey for the size, but I guess you're for the location!
The district a former industrial zone. People with money didn't settle there, and a small studio wasn't business class.
@Nerdo-5212 For pension better to take home, with land to grow strawberries and tomatoes, forest and river for walking. It can be even cheaper. From other side in Moscow is over 400 museums, it is need several years to visit each, a lot of famous theaters and rest entertainments.

Russell you usually only show studio or one room apartments. I’d like to see larger apartments for families and see how much they cost. Thank you.

Visit Mariupol, the apartment is cheaper and a plus where the sea is also nearby
Good work Russell. Very informative. Merry Christmas from New Zealand.
Beautifully presented apartments with a much better standard of finish than United Kingdom
Do you have bigger ones to show?it's very interesting. Moscow is beautiful. We really didn't realize this. God bless the Russian people and America. We believe we are friends not enemies. Loved the videos of the grocery stores. Just recently found your videos.
Keep up the good work Russell . Thank you
amazing building!!!!! thanks for share
Price is slightly expensive for size but location it’s probably ok. If it was in another major city, would be more expensive.
In Vancouver and Toronto easily double that price!
What an interesting building! I'd love to stay there for a few nights when I travel to Moscow next time.
Please show us single homes on property with a garage and at least a garden house shed. That would be excellence!
If i can find an agent who sales these types of homes.

you can buy literally whatever you want here, but prices for western brands which “left” are 15-25% higher than it used to be prior to sanctions - the goods come from other countries now (Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkey, et cetera)
😂
A great apartment for one person or a couple. Thank you for sharing 😊
I agree.
You have to have room for children
@@one_step_sideways Its a perfect space if you don't have kids.
In the US the price is about what you would pay. Not too bad. thank you for the tour.
Thanks for making the comparison.
Tiny, but very classy, loving it. Yuri has a great taste 😊
You're doing a great job on these videos, and I love the apartment tours, but I would also love to see the neighborhoods they're in if you could showcase that as well.
This is a very nice apartment. Here in New Zealand, we don't have such 'business class' apartments. You just get a studio; it may look nice but ends up being super expensive ...around $600+ NZD per week
this 1room studio costs twice of average russian wage, or average 1 moscowit income.
God Bless. ❄️
Here in Australia I have solar panels I don’t pay energy bills at all
Nice! It has everything you need. It looks very comfortable.
I agree, maybe less monkeys though.
I love it! That's cheaper than what I am paying now. Nice option so compact.
Beautiful apartment. Nice attention to detail. And beautiful building overall. I love the heated toilet lol. I think it is a bit pricey for its size. That's just my opinion. Say hi to Yuri for me! 🙂

Hi Yuri! Great apartment!
Thanks !! ) I know he is reading all the comments.
Your videos are always interesting.
Are there any suburbs with new single family homes available around Moscow? Russia is such an immense country, why live in tiny micro apartments?
@@wolfdima lots of free money or you can run on actual mortgage rate?
Thanks Russell 👍❤️
Your more than welcome. )
Very similar to New York but less expensive. Very nice

As for the thermal insulation, it's very warm there. I agree with the rest of the arguments.
@@ФёклаБатьковна With the good thermals all is fine. Personally, I was surprised with bad thermals in Alberta. Winters there are no joke.
@@Infirito_Ekra I see. Thanks!
@alexokunnur8946 yeah that makes sense. Thanks
Our dryers are built into the washing machine. And it's strange that many foreigners don't know about this. I have such a washing machine from LG.
You couldn't swing a cat in there Russell. A country boy like me needs something a little bigger, lol.
Love all your videos 🤗it looks really nice and clean. It would be great to see a 2 bedroom
По-моему, на 7:19 это кран проточного фильтра для питьевой воды.
Obichno takoy kran dlya kipyatka.
So, because it is in Moscow itself, this is why it is twice the price of the one you showed on your last video? Does this price include a parking space in the garage?
I would like to say very nice 👌
But I really can’t, and not for the apartment in itself but because those chicken coops buildings and neighbourhoods are all alike and very similar to the ones of the soviet era. Isn’t Russia the largest country on earth? Why then build so high and tight.
Wow, many innovations
Was just looking at this area of moscow on yandex street view yesterday, what a coincidence
Whoa new Ant Hill Apartments ! Probably rentals since Mortgages go for over 28 % in the Stag Inflation Russian Economy !
I would be interested to see some affordable apartments in St. Petersburg.
That price is too high. We pay $450 a month for a 2 bedroom , full kitchen, dining room, living room, full basement house with a yard in Ohio USA.
And in Washington, how much will it cost?
Could we see something bigger than a studio in this class of apartment? Thanks!
I like the apartment.
Even though it was brand new, it felt cozy.
Great one 🎉
