Good tractors. I used to have 2 of them. Sold one and have regretted it ever since. The one i kept has been on our farm since 1948. It is a 1947 model. It did most of the heavy work for more than 30 years. I used to take it tractor pulling, it was a beast that was hard to beat in 8500lb class
Those are such a cool starting engine, I just bought a td 6 international dozer and it's more fun starting it then using it ! Looks like you have a very nice collection of tractors. Thanks I enjoyed your video!
My father had a WD9 Standard and a MD Farmall (wide front), both started on the same principle, first on gas, then you switch over to diesel.. The WD9 ( could pull a 4 bottom (15")plow .
Love these tractors. I grew up driving them. I recently bought a WD9. I helped restore a rice field special in high school

Nice tractor! Would love to have a Super WD9 one day.
Thank you, it was a tractor that I had always wanted as well.
Were there any straight gas W9's, or were they all diesels? Do you need to revert back to gas before you shut down the engine?

It must run at a lower compression in gasoline mode, right?
Yes they have decompression valves in the head. It runs at 6.5 to 1 on gas then 16.5 to 1 on diesel
