- Keir Starmer reiterated messages from the king's speech with the opening of parliament, saying that his would be a 'government of service'.

Starmer said: 'Under his [Sunak's] watch, the last parliament was the first in modern history to leave living standards in a worse place than they found them.' He accused the previous government of focusing on the 'horse trading of Westminster politics rather than long-term national interest' adding that Labour will 'close the door on it forever'.
Rishi Sunak congratulated the prime minister on his election victory, telling MPs that Labour 'had successfully tapped into the public's desire for change,' adding that his party would hold the government to account to ensure it delivers on the commitments it made to voters.

I've heard it said that the first time Sunak has managed to sound like a statesman is when he was no longer PM. Might be something to it.
He might best fit as opposition leader after all 😂
It's because asking questions is easy , because you are on offensive and people love someone who ask questions
1:43 Rishi's face like "bruh, i just bigged you up for a whole minute allow me" 😂
RIP
Opposition Sunak is the most likeable man in politics
so easy going now because he's got nothing to lose
Ok but don’t forget how much of a terrible morally bankrupt person he is. Don’t let likability inform your politics or vote over actual policies or party history that’s how the American ended up with trump 😂
@@HelloGoodbye2085 Trump is not only likeable he has the best policies of anyone since Regan
@@voice.of.reason if you genuinely believe that vote for him. It’s your vote
Doesn't say much for the UK that an asian should be involved in politics.
The UK parliament looks more lighthearted than the US Congress.
lol, i mean this video was but not when they are actually debating
@@jesusdachrist9192 no when they are debating its very tense but also fairly lighthearted
Just wait another month or so... You'll see another term for Dodgy...

The bright future behind you line was better than David Cameron saying "I was the future once."
Sunak’s plan B can be a comedian
Why would he need a plan b?
I'm pretty sure that is what he must be contemplating right now.
That's the whole of Commons...
@@adamdaniel8909 😄
Why he needs to be a comedian?
He can bowl, but can he bat?
This is the second time; the first time was for the election of the Speaker last week.
Sunak has a SOH. Who knew? I hope he and his family find happiness in the future -he certainly hated being PM.
Inappropriate SOH.
Sorry, what is SOH?

This is what political stability looks like
Atleast you have to give him some respect for taking the job of PM during tough times. And he lasted more than Liz Truss.
Where's the rest of it?!?
So happy Labour are UK Government
How are you going to guarantee it ? It's already better after a week not a whiff of scandal.
@j7ech402 nor can u trust firage. People think a party controlled by 1 man makes sense? He'll rule like a dictator. Even his former deputy leader who got replaced, spoke out that he runs it like a dictator I.e full power.
@@pip1723 you never know things could change
@@pip1723I can guarantee it because they are going to “change” nothing. They will tinker around the edges, people will get poorer and the rich will get richer. They are the “party of business” and the two child cap after all.
Need to reword that title.

Labour will finish this country forever . History will be the judge.
Those are news, not the content, that's the clue, of their value.
Speech is the first signal system of humans because of the content.
This isn't the first time though the appeared on different sides when the house chose a speaker

This is Starmer's peak, it's all downhill from here...
Cannot be any worse than Truss or Johnson.
That’s funny because he’s already up 4pts in the polls

RUBBISH

Starmer, the millionaire lawyer looks so happy, with his rictus grin, as he contemplates concreting over the greenbelt, safe in the knowledge that Hampstead Heath on his doorstep won't be built on. A typical Labour hypocrite.
They are both the same, is shocking to see
Starmer the countryside destroyer
Starmer.blair Cameron and sunak .. the four Horsemen of Britain's apocalypse
Shame on you don't compare Sunak with Starmer who is just empty. Starmer didn't win GE but rigged it.
Tory tears still flowing I see
Be silent you bot 🤖
Seems some weren't happy with Labour's historic landslide victory.
@@Trendycosmetics-os6ghsupport for labour dwarfed support for the conservatives nation-wide. How could you possibly come to the conclusion that starmer needed to rig the election?
Physically on different sides, politically on the same side.
Has anyone asked to Starmer if he will go to palestine to talk with their leaders for a solution to peace?
What came out of labour's mouth the new Prime Minister was a load of dribble
Who is Sunak and conservatists ha ha ha ha
Tories and Shunaks are JOKE..
Big time

@algiles881 quite grammatically better than Tories and Shunaks serving and sustaining Oligarchy in a democratic establishment. It's a shame..
