    My twister Florence May was built in 1984 but I still have the original BUKH 10DVD , BUKH tell me that the engine was manufactured in 1975 !! , it still runs like a dream and has never let me down,but I do change the oil twice a year along with the filter .

    Thanks for taking the time to produce and upload...really needed to get to grips with Delphi fuel filter whilst at sea!

    Hi,
    I have just changed my primary fuel filter so was watching your vid, as its been a while since I did it. Then I thought 'hang on that cockpit looks familiar'.
    I realised that I was changing the filter on my 1gm10 in my composite Twister 28 (Tumbler)! Small world.

      Yes it is a small world! I’ve just moved my filter into the engine bay actually, to make filter changes easier and to protect it

    1GM10 is a great little engine. love the hand cranking. Ive got the 2ym15. sure it does not have hand cranking which is a real shame.

    To speed up oil pressure, fill the filter before screwing it on, You will be able to top up a couple of times as the oil will pre-soak the filter element. Hardly any oil will leak out as you screw the filter on. I do this with my 3gm, and the oil pressure buzzer goes off immediately. Good video though.

      I did exactly that on the next change, much better!

    Watched you coming up the river this afternoon. Hoped to have seen you, but you must have gone down below for 40 winks, haha. You might still be around in the morning at 0600 hrs when we go in.

    Hello, I was wondering if you could tell me where I could find on a of those oil filter removal tools you used?

    • @SVRoquetta
      @SVRoquetta  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good morning Roger. I happened to have that from a motorcycle service I did. I can’t remember exactly where I got it but a google search should be fruitful. I’ll see if I can find one and put a link in the description

    seriously how do you manage to get in to your lockers. again ive false floors in mine. might alter them so they lift out and can use the space below

    • @SVRoquetta
      @SVRoquetta  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      interesting you should say that. I'm going to be making my lockers smaller. At the moment you have to put your head and shoulders in to reach anything at the bottom, not very practical. Although a lifting false floor sounds like a good compromise.

    • @stephenmoorey2597
      @stephenmoorey2597 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Think they usually have a false floor. where are the batteries in Roquetta then ?.

    • @SVRoquetta
      @SVRoquetta  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stephenmoorey2597 in Roquetta, the batteries are under the quarter birth, which was half converted into a cockpit locker when I bought her. Thinking on what you said, I may well put a battery in each locker under a false floor. Much better use of space. The lockers are quite odd at the moment
