      On the street what Dragy time do you average?

    • @andyturbo
      @andyturbo 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@CoinLaundry500 Absolutely. I don't usually do 1/4 mile runs but went along with a good mate who regularly does them and he said to bring mine along and he would shout me a run (pay for it)
      This was on a complete street setup (19's with road tyres) and on the highest tune which I never really use (it is "safe" enough for occasional fun but not the tune I would normally run even when cruising around harder than usual)
      I didn't launch hard as the last thing I wanted to do was break something. The same goes for the gear changes. Being manual it was hard enough keeping traction. I have no doubt if the car was set up for the occasion and the person driving it was experienced at 1/4 mile runs low 10's would have been realistic and probably 9's without meaning to dicksize, from what you have suggested I think that's realistic (It was a warm night too, during the summer)

    • @MrTroytroy
      @MrTroytroy 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Gooie69 Ross reviews and PdriveTV are the biggest performance car testers of Australian cars. Ross Reviews has tested well over 100 Australian cars now and there are only four RWD V8 S/C cars in the ‘four second club’ out of 26 other cars. There are 5 naturally aspirated V8’s in the 4 second club.
      An interesting and comical comparison are these bone stock cars that Ross tested that were quicker than the Mustang:
      Capra Fermentor SUV -4.95secs
      2023 M2 manual - 4.95secs
      Golf R 2018 - 5.12secs
      Kia Stinger 2023 - 5.17secs
      Hyundai I30N - 5.2secs
      Stock Camaro SS - 5.2secs
      Kia EV6 GT - 5.24secs
      Hyundai IONIQ5 - 5.27secs
      2023 stock BMW 230i - 5.43secs
      So arguing over how quick supercharged mustangs are is like arguing over how amazing bone stock Hyundai and Kias are (which are quicker)- it’s the special olympics of performance cars racing.
      So if you drive your car on the street most of the time (and not a prepped track) with street tyres- statistically your going to be slower than a majority of modern performance stock cars, let alone equally modified ones.
      S/C RWD V8’s are generally slow AF in speeds below 150km/h. They are hopeless at getting traction, usually have terribly long diff gearing, and usually very heavy. I have lost count how many I have left in the rear view mirror. At least with cammed or Bolt-on V8s they tend to have better traction off the line as the torque and power is moved up the rev spectrum a bit and those guys tend to know about the importance of diff gears. If you wanted a roll racing car that focussed on 140-200kmh then a supercharged V8 would be better than an NA one - but what proportion of time spent in your car are you spending between 140-200kmh?

    The owner realises the LS’s are known for having to rev to make power? Not their low down torque 😂
    And the 5.0L make good mid range torque and pull hard to 7500

      This car does need significantly higher revs over an LS I was kinda shocked by it.. still awesome fun tho

      @@RossReviewsau is it just because its top end is so awesome that it feels like the low down power isn’t there but really it is? But because the top end is huge it makes the low end seem…. Not so good 😂
      And love the car and the 3L is an amazing blower, all Herrod’s new stuff has it but the R-Spec

    A 2nd hand, low mileage 2023 Hyundai i30N with a simple tune would see off this thing all day...all for $35k... the price of that blower..
