Jersey is high on my list of places I want to visit. I'm sure it's got something to do with watching one too many old episodes of Bergerac! I vaguely remember that it was always sunny!
Hahaha excellent!!! Well I can confirm it wasn’t sunny when we were there, apart from the last day (Jersey part 3, lighthouses and a long walk!!). The locals said, it has a micro climate so the weather is really unpredictable. We loved it though and would go again in a heartbeat. I hope you get there soon. X

It is a great place and really easy to navigate. You’ll see loads more over the next few weeks. We can literally get flights from Manchester for £20!! The hotel was £710I think for the 5 nights, so nights, so not cheap, but there was a lot included. Thanks dance mum Deb 🤣 - have a great week too! X
Great video , Can you tell me is there a bus that takes you directly from the Jersey airport to the Merton Hotel , how much is the ticket and how long does it take ? Cheers 🍺
Thanks for watching David. From our knowledge - all buses tend to go to the main terminal. I think there’s a bus that goes near Howard davies park, near the hotel. We personally got a cab from the airport. I can’t remember the cost but it wasn’t expensive. Whenever we needed a bus we would walk to the main terminal in St Helier - about 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Sorry that’s not a brilliant help. I’m sure the Merton would tell you the number of the libertie bus that goes nearest 🍻

Thanks so much for watching. We would definitely recommend the Merton. It’s not right in the centre, but you can be at the main bus terminal in a 12/13 min walk. As well as the restaurants on site, there were a fair few restaurant within a 5 min walk. Have a brilliant time in Jersey and thanks for watching. 🍻

Everything I know about Jersey came from Bergerac and Gerald Durrell. So essentially it has a lot of animals and a huge crime problem. No wonder the Sopranos come from there. I also like jersey milk. We have lots of jersey cows in Australia. Matter of fact I having an iced coffee made from Gippsland Jersey milk right now. Bonus fact you didn't ask for, I grew up on a dairy farm. Probably explains my affinity for milk and mafia stories.
I thought the people of Jersey were very particular what of it didn’t come from the isle of Jersey you couldn’t call it Jersey! I’m sure we learnt that, certainly about potatoes, when we were there! But, Jersey milk is the best and it makes amazing icecream!! Have a great day, sure you don’t want a new prime minister??
@@PostcardAndAPint I think we're safe from rampaging Jersians. The breed of cow is Jersey. I think the most common dairy cows in Oz are Jersey, Guernsey and Friesian. If you ever come to Oz, down on the south coast of NSW is a village called Bodalla - famous for cheese. But they do milk and the Bodalla Dairy shop sells ice cream made from their jersey cows - the milk, not the cow. Things made from cow are usually called hamburger or steak. But, the ice cream is sensational. Some of the best non-gelato ice cream I've had. My favourite was called campfire or something. It was smoked gum leaf flavour. I loved it. Michelle said it tasted like ash tray. Anyway, it will be in an upcoming video once I've finished with Japan. You can keep Boris. We've had a succession of Boris wannabees for the last 10 freakin' years. Now we finally have an actual human in charge. It is wonderful. Why the hell is it going to take months to get a new PM? If we ditch a PM here we have a new one in about 10 minutes. Can't the party room choose faster than that? He's not the Pope. Ah, I just read half the party have quit 😂😂😂

It is a great place and really easy to navigate. You’ll see loads more over the next few weeks. We can literally get flights from Manchester for £20!! The hotel was £710I think for the 5 nights, so nights, so not cheap, but there was a lot included. Thanks dance mum Deb 🤣 - have a great week too! X

Great video , Can you tell me is there a bus that takes you directly from the Jersey airport to the Merton Hotel , how much is the ticket and how long does it take ?

Thanks for watching David. From our knowledge - all buses tend to go to the main terminal. I think there’s a bus that goes near Howard davies park, near the hotel. We personally got a cab from the airport. I can’t remember the cost but it wasn’t expensive. Whenever we needed a bus we would walk to the main terminal in St Helier - about 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Sorry that’s not a brilliant help. I’m sure the Merton would tell you the number of the libertie bus that goes nearest 🍻

Thanks so much for watching. We would definitely recommend the Merton. It’s not right in the centre, but you can be at the main bus terminal in a 12/13 min walk. As well as the restaurants on site, there were a fair few restaurant within a 5 min walk. Have a brilliant time in Jersey and thanks for watching. 🍻

Everything I know about Jersey came from Bergerac and Gerald Durrell. So essentially it has a lot of animals and a huge crime problem. No wonder the Sopranos come from there.
I also like jersey milk. We have lots of jersey cows in Australia. Matter of fact I having an iced coffee made from Gippsland Jersey milk right now. Bonus fact you didn't ask for, I grew up on a dairy farm. Probably explains my affinity for milk and mafia stories.
I thought the people of Jersey were very particular what of it didn’t come from the isle of Jersey you couldn’t call it Jersey! I’m sure we learnt that, certainly about potatoes, when we were there! But, Jersey milk is the best and it makes amazing icecream!! Have a great day, sure you don’t want a new prime minister??
@@PostcardAndAPint I think we're safe from rampaging Jersians. The breed of cow is Jersey. I think the most common dairy cows in Oz are Jersey, Guernsey and Friesian. If you ever come to Oz, down on the south coast of NSW is a village called Bodalla - famous for cheese. But they do milk and the Bodalla Dairy shop sells ice cream made from their jersey cows - the milk, not the cow. Things made from cow are usually called hamburger or steak. But, the ice cream is sensational. Some of the best non-gelato ice cream I've had. My favourite was called campfire or something. It was smoked gum leaf flavour. I loved it. Michelle said it tasted like ash tray. Anyway, it will be in an upcoming video once I've finished with Japan.
