Spicy American hot sauces! The fine folks over at Fuego Box asked us if we'd like to spice things up a bit for a video and we did indeed! We tried their All-Star crate - a variety of hot sauces focusing on flavour and heat and our lovely Irish people gave their thoughts on the hot sauces!

Nachos are tortilla chips with melted cheese and whatever other topping you like..usually jalapenos. Some add sour cream, guacamole, beans ground(minced) beef, tomatoes etc..

I just realized it's good to have regular people try these sauces rather than spice lords or hot sauce heads because they must be numb to what spice is. I trust the TRYers more.

Very true, I have been thinking of getting some of the Aardvark sauces for awhile now and I think I will pull the trigger now that the Tryers didn't die while having some.

But "they don't focus on insane heat or gimmicky sauces", so there's that. Actually kind of refreshing for a change, as there's so many hot sauces out there that are just HOT and no real character or flavor otherwise

I’m not a fan of the aardvark, taste reminds me too much of a1 or steak sauce. Idk, maybe i should give it another go

Finally! Hot sauces that actually have taste instead of just heat! And it took the Try Channel to bring it! Of course, I’m still not sure why one of those flavors has to be *kale*. Bleah.
Tbf, I've had everyone of the hot sauces from the last 4 seasons of Hot Ones, and on average only 2, 3 if you include da bomb are more focused on heat than flavor. Some are also kick you in the teeth hot, but delicious.

The Pepper X version of The Last Dab is pretty tasty as well as pretty damn hot. The Carolina Reaper edition is also pretty good, but very tangy in a slightly weird and unexpected way.

Low. Those are all mild to medium sauces. That's not a negative statement in any way. Everyone has their own preference of heat level. But if they had to try Thor's Hammer, Dermot might actually die.

@@shinigami146 A lot of hot sauces will start to separate when they sit for a while. The oils have to be mixed back in to properly use the sauce.

I love that they enjoyed most of them. To me, a perfect hot sauce has a very slightly painful burning sensation, but tastes so good you can't stop eating whatever it is on.
I absolutely love Shannon. She just seems like she'd be down to TRY anything. Just go with the flow. All around fun time. None of this was meant to be taken as a pervy comment. She just seems like she'd be the one to get any party started, and get everyone involved.

Secret Aardvark really is a treasure. Its a hot sauce that really gets the great flavors of habanero and balances the heat nicely.
It's actually nice to watch someone taste hot sauces that don't focus on blowing your tastebuds away before they get a chance to taste anything. A lot of people in the comments are like "you should try this insane hot sauce!". Well, they already did.. and yes, I'll watch them do it again for shits n giggles, but I also like when TRY finds something where I think "Hey, I might try this some day because it sounds like it actually tastes good" :)
It's nice that a company puts out sauces that can be eaten in/on things without burning your face off. When you have sauce on something it should enhance the flavor of the food and give it a little kick, not kill all your taste buds. Ya, the gimmick of seeing how hot you can handle is fine, everyone is doing it now, but when it comes to enjoying a snack or meal you want to enjoy it.
Somewhere north of 2000 videos,and like most of us I have watched them all numerous times. I still belly laugh. Shannon is just a natural entertainer.

Aardvark Sauce is from here in Portland, Oregon! They had booths at Farmers Markets at first and they kept growing and a a certain point you started seeing bottles on restaurant tables all over town right next to the Sriracha. So good!

I would love to see them react to the hot sauce I made last year. It's a naturally fermented hot sauce with onions, garlic, carrots and 25 Carolina Reapers in one liter of it. Then after it was done fermenting I took 250ml if it and added a tablespoon each of powdered Carolina Reaper and Moruga Scorpion peppers. I named that one "Why?", which is what most of the people who've tried it have asked through the gasping for breath and tears.

A good Hot Sauce is so much more than just heat. They are there to add flavor to other foods, the heat is to be there to add just a little kick to open up the taste buds and your nasal passages to enhance the flavor even more(since taste comes from your nose too)

I am from Portland, where Aardvark Sauce is made. Many restaurants carry it like you would with Tabasco and Siracha. Although I have also seen it 'locked up' as some are afraid people will steal it.

I had a roomie try ghost pepper wings. Except the chefs were out of ghost peppers, and used SCORPION peppers. He finished off the wings, loved every moment of it, and said it heightened the taste of everything else - he loved his ice cream sundae after.
He regretted it the next morning.
Might have to give these a shot now.
the pepper plant is my ultimate favorite hot sauce. its so good! they have 4 types I think, they're all delicious but the garlic and habenero versions are best 😍
If you ever find yourself in key west, florida. Head to Peppers of Key West, one of the best stores of the heat ever. They also do shipping for online shopping.

Yellow sriracha is one of my favorite sauces. Flavorful, but not over the top hot.
