    That is awesome. Absolutely beautiful build. You have some very nice equipment, and the skill to use it. An amazing shop. As impressed as I am with the bike, I am almost as impressed with your sand blaster. You must have a powerful, large compressor. I tinker in my shop, and my sand blaster always struggles. I need way more air.

    • @turtlelaboratories
      @turtlelaboratories  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you so much! This shop is what I have built up to grow my business! You are right. I was messing around with air compressors, and couldn't find one I was happy with. My current one is an Ingersoll Rand 120 gallon with a 15HP 3 phase motor. It is way more than I need to run my CNC plasma cutters and sand blaster at the same time!

    Very nice bike but the tyre's look massive, 1.75 -1.95 tyres work far better for flat.
    With the 1.75 being faster for pump and spin riding, 1.95 are more stable for scuffing tricks and slower spins(Mid school).
    Your investigation is correct, and now you know the reason behind tyre sizes for riding flat😎

    • @turtlelaboratories
      @turtlelaboratories  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They're 2.4's and way massive, but I love the way it looks. At my age, I will be lucky to do much on this thing without killing myself. So, no pumping or spin riding for me, prob just hopping and scuffing, and the big tires are nice and bouncy for that. Also, pretty forgiving.

      The package said "Invicta" on them. They were new old stock from eBay. I'm pretty sure multiple brands sold them under different names.

    Yooo. What happened to your 98 Performer restoration? Did you ever figure out the brakes and do you ride it? I am the dude with the same bike (98 Performer in Black Rainbow) I did a bunch of upgrades but nothing as extensive as the way you did yours

    • @turtlelaboratories
      @turtlelaboratories  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Man, it's still hanging above my desk. I think the right way to fix it is move the brakes to the underside of the seat stay, and that requires a full tear down, strip of all the powdercoat, and relocating of the posts, and then repowder it. So... It just hangs over my desk looking pretty for now. It will likely be a while before I revisit it. I might do a larger driver and sprocket to get me by, but I don't know if I will really ride it anyway, since its so pretty.
