The idea is to revive this ford ranger and get it running again for a bit of a laugh

@@peterbarber7613 You've seen how Sam Eyles treats his Patrol I assume? It would have no problem surviving a 4WD Action trip and the drive home.
I fail to see where you think there is a weak link in his Patrol that would stop it from achieving this (outside fuel consumption haha), it's not like it's powered by a 280,000km 3.5L Rover V8 that'll grenade itself at any moment with a fragile Suzuki Sierra driveline.

DONT USE CATCH CANS ON 200series VD’s these will void warranty on engine malfunctions , rear mains blowing out ect .

nsw legislation renders vehicles unregistrable once they get put into stock ,supposed to notify rms and they log the vin number ,which is why any thing worth putting back on the road or restoing gets put aside

Vehicles aren't written off easily in Australia. The other cars in the yard are typical. Totally smashed up.
In America they wreck everything which is why there are so many shows of people rebuilding vehicles.
