Awesome video. I just installed on my 04' GX470 following your tips and it went flawlessly. Actually, I did not even remove the bumper, just removed that cosmetic plastic plate and bent the bumper slightly to access the top bolts. The hardware that comes with the metal-tech hitch is slightly shorter so it went on easier than taking off the stock bracket. If you go this route, be sure to have a ratcheting wrench.
Lizard Go makes a cheaper version of this hitch. I would have gotten this one but i have a wife and 5 kids. My budget only goes so far😂 awesome vid. It worked for mine as well.
You should do a video on your rear door bench! I had a similar idea with that collapsible sink and curious what those wires are for? Thanks for the video!
Do you know if there is any hitch that fits on a 2020 Land Cruiser 200 series? Ive been looking for something like the one on your video, but no luck so far...
That is a good question and I would recommend this video from seek adventure that has really awesome info on recovery equipment th-cam.com/video/kW304fXuG1M/w-d-xo.html
According to metal techs website it fits 2003-2019 4runner. Removing the bumper might be a little different but I can't say for sure because I have not tried on a 4runner.
You don't need to install the cover piece. I trimmed and installed mine to look a little cleaner. In the video when I put the bumper back on you can see what it looks like without the cover installed.
Dude, great install video, quick, details, no blabbering, quick edits and transitions just a great video!
Thanks for creating the video! I successfully installed the hitch and reattached the bumper on my GX470. Nicely done.

I was wondering if I was going to need to pull the whole bumper off. Good to know, thanks!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing. I'm all for the simplest way to do things :)
How did you remove that plastic plate? Which way do those blue clips come out?? Thanks @@landminehopscotch3617 1:37
I wish I found that before I bought the full size hitch. Thanks for the video.
Excellent video. I just installed mine yesterday and it went smoothly thanks to your video.
Thanks for the video, it was excellent
What size spare tire is that under there?

That was a great, instructional video...

Absolutely. I will work on that video. It is DIY combo table/ sink with faucet.
please need exactly part where I ca find.thanks
So, what is the existing hitch good for? I’ve got that one without a plastic cover. All I want is to be able to slide a bike rack in there
What size is that spare tire you're running?
Is it the same for the 4th Gen 4runner??

I never knew...
Thanks!!!!
Does this allow you to run a larger spare?
I run a 265/70/17 spare which is slightly larger than stock and it fits, but it is tight. Not sure could get a 33 to fit
my lexus is 470gx 2008 but on the Diller are very very expensive.
Hey, do you have any recommendations on HITCH RECEIVER SHACKLES that would pair well with this?
That is a good question and I would recommend this video from seek adventure that has really awesome info on recovery equipment th-cam.com/video/kW304fXuG1M/w-d-xo.html
“Same” install in 4Runner 5th gen???
According to metal techs website it fits 2003-2019 4runner. Removing the bumper might be a little different but I can't say for sure because I have not tried on a 4runner.
Can this fit on GX's with the kinetic dynamic suspension system as well? Thanks
According to Metal techs website, it doesn't say KDSS models are excluded so I think it should work.
That center piece do I have to cut it out or it can just b Uninstalled?where the hitch area*is

Have you towed anything with the new hitch yet?
Yep just some light utility trailers. Will mostly use it as a rear recovery point.
@@thegxdad2223 sounds good, recovery point that won’t kill the bumper. That’s exactly what I want it for. Thanks for the great video.
is this higher than the normal 4th runner receiver hitch plate?
Dude it showing towing the ship killed me
