I just saw thwm last night and at 76 yrs old he can still pound those drums... Was lucky enough to not only get his autograph but on drun stix a symbal and a drum skin. What a humble man a teue hero.

I was stationed at NAS Jacksonville, Florida, in early 1977. I went to the graveyard after the crash in Orange Park - Jacksonville, Florida. On Ronnie Van Zant's tombstone was a poem from Charlie Daniel's "Million mile😮Refections album. Fast forward to more recently in October 2022 at a Chiller Theatre Expo in Parsippany, NJ. I met Artimus Pyle. He was very gracious and easy to talk with. He signed photos, and drum cymbals for fans. I mentioned a seafood place in Jacksonville, Florida called "Whiteys Fish Camp" to him and asked if it was still in Jacksonville. He stated he believed so.
Why not, you do enough to keep the music alive. The only reason the other tribute band does so well is because they carry the banner that is owned by Larkin Collins, father of original guitarist Allen Collins, has control of the Lynyrd Skynyrd name along with Rossington and Judy Van Zant Jenness, widow of original lead singer Ronnie Van Zant
Last year I saw Lynyrd Skynyrd In canondaigua, New York. And it wasn't this good.ZZ Top was better.They should have opened. I spend most of my time smoking green by the fence. A crowd was really cool. And I had the best. Weed LOL. It's not too handicap accessible.I walked up although stirs, some guy brought me AC.D it sucks I don't dtink anymore and they kept flashing giant bottles of whiskey. Like, why do they have to do that? Artemis pile is the only one left.
