Joey is 1 of a kind. Every band he fills in for becomes 1k times better. A legend gone way to soon at such a young age. Even though I didn't know him and never met him I will miss him greatly. I idolized him growing up and always wanted to drum like him. Fast and full of energy. rest in peace superball
Joey could play ANYTHING!!! The talent he had in his pinky finger alone was much more talent than most have through out their whole life!!! We will definitely miss him in the music industry. There will never be another Joey nor will anyone come close enough to even be compared to the man! Joey is and always will be a LEGEND!!! Dude was living out his best life. I appreciate the music he played and loved so much. I was also in a Metallica Tribute Band in high school. Perfect moments.
What i love about this guy is wherever he play no matter band is it you can see he is always excited to play that drum kit. Kudos to this legend.

Yes MAN! Period. I thought I would kill slipknot as one my fav bands when he left. I didnt and I love slipknot. I dont care who the fuck played after he was out, just needed the drums filled so I could enjoy slipknot still. But it killed me. So if Lars would have been the replacemnt just kidding. JAy does the job but I dont have any passion and feeling as Ive had watching that always happy emjoying Joey playing. Im too drunk i cant even see. Cheers

I saw a comment saying Joey isn’t a good fit Metallica. That’s absolutely absurd! Joey is such an adaptive drummer it’s unreal. I feel Metallica would’ve been in an absolutely insane place in history if Joey had joined after Lars. He would’ve elevated them to a different height. Lars is brilliant for what he made with Metallica but held them back so much in terms of what they could’ve become
