You are a medieval farmer. You hear a loud explosion outisde your abode. You go outside to see, expecting a cannon, but instead, it is a fighter jet, launching several missiles at your small cottage
The fact that you were able to create something that not only works but also looks like an actual fighter jet in a game like besiege is insane. Well done, reid!
Reid is just like Archimedes during the siege of Syracuse. Instead of building a curved mirror to focus the sunlight on enemy ships to burn them, he just built a supersonic jet that shoots missiles.
So I haven't touched Besiege in years. However, I still remember a lot of neat building tips from even way back when. You can make RTC controls using two pistons pushing a hinge on the side of a pivot. What this allows is for you to go straight into certain angles without having to deal with turn blocks. Though I guess logic has improved those. Another thing is the classic "stick some powered wheels to each other and then put propellers on the end" engine. The biggest benefit is that you can have some of the wheels on different controls so you can have things like taxi speed, cruise speed, and afterburner speed. Getting the propellers laying against the final wheel can be finicky but finicky describes Besiege most of the time anyways.
I saw a comment like this but I want to make it better You are a medieval farmer living on your family farm. Your farmhouse sits on a serene mountain overlooking a flowing river. The sky is fresh and speckled with fluffy clouds. The ground is slightly moist, due to the recent rain. The grass is dotted with little glistening drops of water, and you spot a grasshopper jumping on a leaf. It’s very quiet, except for the gentle hum of crickets and the river below. You look up, and spot a rainbow, and it reminds you of your family, who lives in a nearby village named ashwood. The hum of crickets hushes as there is a loud screeching sound, growing louder and louder. All of a sudden, from the sky, a bomber plane moving at Mach 2 flies overhead, dropping 14 bombs destroying the farm, and the village. Thank you for your patience. You survived at least.
Please, the best part of your videos is when you test your contraptions on different levels, all of the building add up to it, so dont just end the video once the building is done, preeeettyyy pleeasee!
"All of my flights so far have been taking off from the air, which isn't really that realistic" - guy flying a supersonic steam powered plane made of wood
Missiles are primarily mounted (with exceptions) under the wing due to excess lift causing damage to the plane if mounted elsewhere. Idk if Besiege can mimic proper air physics but it looks like it does on a base level.
The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where is is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is, whichever is greater, it obtains a deviation.

use the orbital cannon to blow up a nuclear missile making an even larger explosion
Orbital cannon to kill players in gta5

Orbital Cannon
orbital cannon sounds better
