I don’t know if other people agree with this, but I value the actual build over making an engine for it. I would love to a realistic, fast, and highly maneuverable plane, even if it was powered by those spiral fan blocks.
The fact that you didn’t just use steam rockets for the engines takes this to a whole different level. Yeah, it likely would have been lighter and faster, but you lose a lot of the technical wow factor. That engine was really interesting.
you should make a large robot, that breaks into 5 smaller robots that can reconnect into the main robot. Don't know if this has been done before but it would be cool to see
if you're careful with the wood panels you can actually make a proper functioning airfoil with it. I have a small plane that uses 3 wing blocks for the vertical and horizontal stabilizers but the main wings are exclusively wood panels
This video meant a lot to me because my father actually just switched over from being a US Air Force A-10 Warthog mechanic to a desk job in the Air Force.
Ingenious way of using hot air balloons to balance the C.O.M but over this is what I expected, since your on the topic of military vehicles why not try making a m1 Abrams with a main conman and suspension, I know it's much but I think it will be pretty cool. Thanks anyways ried! Nice job.
The A-10 Warthog is not classified as a plane, but rather is classified as a “weaponized aircraft”. That’s because the Warthog is built AROUND the gun, meaning it is literally a flying gun and thus not a plane. Furthermore, A-10 Warthog users are called Stick Operators instead of Pilots because, again, it’s not a plane.
yup, A -plane- aircraft that was entirely built and designed around "this big ass gun is gonna fly, you cannot stop us from making it fly" it's so built around the gun that it wouldn't fly straight if the bullet casings were ejected due to the incredible weight difference throwing off the center of gravity. No matter what modifications they made to the aircraft the gun was staying the exact same. Plus the gun was made by an appliance company, GE.
I really love how you actually recreated the entire engine from scratch and slowly built everything upon it. It actually gave me a better understanding on how engines work on actual machines. It's one of those things that you don't really think about a lot, but actually seeing every step of the process and seeing which specific parts link to what parts really gives me a bigger appreciation for actual engineering. It's crazy that we can do all this just by taking advantage of fastly rotating parts!
Not sure if the game has water, but an aircraft carrier with the ability to launch the planes and stop them in a similar fashion that the navy does. That way the plane isn’t really as important as the objective is. 👍🏽
treads are a pain, but aren't too bad at low speeds. They are just hinges with your choice of how to keep it on the wheels (armor panels, exterior wheels.)
I haven’t watched you for a while and I’m my sleep deprived state I spoke aloud without swallowing before hand spitting on my screen as I said it “I LOVE YOUR BUILDS” in a quiet throat filled with mucus kinda way
Ah yes the Fairchild republic's A-10 Thunderbolt II "Warthog" with a Gatling gun that specialises in making bad guys spaghetti and Americans insurance claims made by a washing machine company.
The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is a single-seat, twin-turbofan, straight-wing, subsonic attack aircraft developed by Fairchild Republic for the United States Air Force.
please make a tank. someone suggested the Abrams. so maybe we could do that one. also with working tank suspension please. i think it would be the perfect kind of build for you Ried to really test your knowledge and vehicle building ability.
This game encapsulates the aesthetics of both Da Vinci contraptions and 19th century flying machine prototypes really well. Engine not efficient enough? Just add another propeller in series!
I'm sure someone else has made the joke, the reason it didn't work too well is because the real plane was built around the gun, rather than the gun being built last, thanks for the vid tho, it's giving me build ideas in other games.
A really unique flying craft you could make is a cyclocopter, it has some ufo-like manoeuvring capability. There is a really good video showing a rc cyclocopter that explains how it works really well.
bro💀 imagine you in the A-10 full power which is not so slow and then your lever outside the left wing of the plane just start increasing it air resistance very fast and the second after you are spinning the hell out of the plane💀
If we're building more planes, especially war planes, why not build a Convair B-58 Hustler? It could pose a challenge as the nuke is attached below the fuselage of the plane instead of in a bomb bay.
Very food design, i would really see you making something like a Su-27 or Mig-29, something in the super manuevarable category. I think it would be a great challenge to make somethin that is quite fast while being very manouverable and also carrying weapons like guided bombs or cruise missiles
You could try to make the P47 Thunderbolt. It had a 28 cylinder supercharged rotary engine and was the spiritual successor to the A10 as the A10's full name is the A10 Thunderbolt II.
I'm not too sure but I think springs care about their starting position, one that starts long doesn't apply much force when no keys are pressed but one that starts short and is stretched to long length will apply a lot of force even if no keys are being pressed
I want to try some other recreations soon, do you guys have any other planes in mind?
A tank
A weaponized flying goose
how do you grab things in play mode?
A helicopter
a aircraft carrier

Magic!
You could make the SR-71 (or a very fast plane) and make it go very very fast, and then try to build an automatic missile to make it explode.
that would be so cool dude!!!!

Thanks, they ran better than I thought!
They should be able to detach and glide to land. it makes it awesome
Do a supermaneuverable plane next (something like the Su35 or Su57), the main goal being to do a cobra maneuver and recovering from it
I'd be open to trying something like that, although there is no way I could make an engine for it lol
@@ReidCaptain bro wants you to make a thrust vectoring engine 💀
@@ReidCaptain Please do that i really want u to make some sort of su 57 or f-22
I don’t know if other people agree with this, but I value the actual build over making an engine for it. I would love to a realistic, fast, and highly maneuverable plane, even if it was powered by those spiral fan blocks.
An su-57 would be cool in beside however you would have to use a new thrust type for the engine if it’s going to have thrust vectoring
The fact that you didn’t just use steam rockets for the engines takes this to a whole different level. Yeah, it likely would have been lighter and faster, but you lose a lot of the technical wow factor. That engine was really interesting.

The transition from radial engine to turbine was too smooth and is just... muack (chef kiss) perfect!
Lmao as he tried to build his engine I was constantly thinking „why not using a wheel as a base?“
Good to see he came to the same conclusion xD

I really respect you for always not using unbreakable
I try to not use it if I can avoid it since I get cooler crashes that way😂
He only uses it in tests I think
Now that the A-10’s made, all we need is the GAU-8 Avenger cannon
He just has to figure out how to build a washing machine and he should be able to build one

Imagine seeing this in the medieval era.
Not sure if the game has water, but an aircraft carrier with the ability to launch the planes and stop them in a similar fashion that the navy does. That way the plane isn’t really as important as the objective is. 👍🏽
I think you should make an ac130. That would be really cool although it seems very complicated
Especially because it’s actually a turboprop,so these dope engines make sense
“Just left some springs on the side-“ springs: ILL DO IT ILL CRASH YOUR GAME
I think it would be somewhat cool to see you build a steam locomotive, like with crank shafts driving the wheels and everything...
You should publish these to the steam workshop fr
I feel like a lot of people would love to mess around with your creations
Imagine you making a working anti air, keep the good content up!
I agree!!!
Since your making planes, maybe you should make an anti aircraft type build maybe with rockets and sensors
I would love to see you attempt realistic tank tracks. They are a pain in the ass in besiege but I think WW1 tanks like the FT1 might be possible
treads are a pain, but aren't too bad at low speeds. They are just hinges with your choice of how to keep it on the wheels (armor panels, exterior wheels.)

Three ideas: A functioning revolver, a bolt action rifle, or an anti aircraft rocket turret.

Your besiege videos are the highlight of my week. Love your content
It’s crazy to me how those tiny flying blocks added way more power than those massive turbines
I do have to say, You made one critical mistake: You build a gun inside of a plane, when the A-10 is a plane built around a gun
Hey here's a suggestion! What if you make a ac-130?
You should build a commercial airliner like a 747. It would be a challenge but would be super cool
This guy could build a whole car from scrap
This is warthog approved 👍
A really unique flying craft you could make is a cyclocopter, it has some ufo-like manoeuvring capability. There is a really good video showing a rc cyclocopter that explains how it works really well.
Cool. Now make a detailed version of it in Simpleplanes
Inaccurate. The A-10 is made of titanium.
10:02 Bro became alternative for a second
11:50 is cracking me up 💀
Bad plane, not enough dead friendlies
Make a stocer dive bomber with the sirens, like the one from World War II
You made a plane on life support.
It would be cool if you remade the SHELD carrier ship/boat. I’m an fan of marvel and this channel!
8:48 I disagree, they're not ugly, it's what gives it this steampunk sorta beauty.
the engine design is sick

If we're building more planes, especially war planes, why not build a Convair B-58 Hustler? It could pose a challenge as the nuke is attached below the fuselage of the plane instead of in a bomb bay.
try making commercial airplane. also, irl jet engines have compressors which u could use steam cannons to replace, which increases efficiency

I remember making the request of a a-10 warthog thank you
I commented that he should make the A-10 Warthog, but it wasn’t under the Supersonic Jet video, so I don’t know how I should feel.
Can you build Su-47(Berkut)? It's a strange(in a good way) looking plane which has incredible mobility with inverse bent wings.
You could try to make the P47 Thunderbolt. It had a 28 cylinder supercharged rotary engine and was the spiritual successor to the A10 as the A10's full name is the A10 Thunderbolt II.
If what I heard is correct the auto Canon is actually slightly offset from the middle
something like an uncaged missile unlike the missile you have which is technically caged
Maybe we can have engines as their own builds, so we don’t have to sit through building a brand-new one each time?
Here are a few ideas: a 737, a 747, SR-71, F-14, AC-130, or a harrier
I'm not too sure but I think springs care about their starting position, one that starts long doesn't apply much force when no keys are pressed
but one that starts short and is stretched to long length will apply a lot of force even if no keys are being pressed
now all you need to do is split the atom in besiege
