Right on, Mike! I would be insanely ticked off if one or more of the plugs needed to be flipped around to get the polarity right on the LED's, and have to tear back into that headliner again just for that!
Great video and very detailed. Question, why not just buy the l.e.d bulbs and the smoked covers so that way you don't have to drop the headliner. They sale led bulbs that fit that factory socket. All you would of had to do is unscrew the covers from the top and plug in the new LEDs and put on the new smoked lens and screw them back on and that's it. Headliner and all the other stuff wasn't necessary. Unless there's something I didn't catch but that's what most of us would of done. Just my opinion, take care bud.
Thanks for video. The one step i needed to see, you didn't show. I just need to replace one bulb, but after unscrewing the one screw on the roof, I thought was for the lense, I couldn't get the lens off. I tried to manhandle it a little but didn't whant to break it. It looks from your video that the lens pivits forward and I should just use a screwdriver to pry? Thanks
Do you still have the truck? If so could you please make a video or send a picture over to me of what that actual harness plug looks like? Would like to see where it connects under the dash and where exactly, thanks!
I was going for the blacked out look since my truck is white. I think my truck actually accelerates faster with the more cool LED lights installed... but that could just be my imagination. :-D
I just did mine after watching your video. I totally agree. WORST engineering ever! I just snipped both harnesses and straight hard wired the though ,,,, a little easier , they didn't think it through when the made these
You just helped me more than you’ll know I was real upset over a set I just got but you just saved the day with this video thank you so much
I’m gonna say thank you within the first 5 seconds.
What a pain in the ass.
Thanks Again!
Great idea to check to make sure they all work before buttoning all the liner back up.

When I did this project, there were no such things as replacement smoked lenses. Yes, the bulbs were an easy task, but I was going for the look.

What brand-model number running light did you use? I like the LED in those lights compared to a little replacement insert sold on most others.

Very nice 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
I would have cut the plug off and used butt-splices a lot easier and faster just my 2 cents though
Doing it this way ensures every time you have to replace them they just plug in
Lots of ways to skin this thing. Just make sure you get the polarity right before putting everything back together. :-D
66 like awww true thanks to for sharing friend
Thanks for stopping in. More content to come. I got a car at auction. *sigh
I did the same type of mod on my truck u didn’t have to go through all wrk just replace the lenses and bulbs next time
They were not available when I made this video.
Lol office hands!

Why was this video so hard to find 💀

I totally agree. It makes me think they made these for another truck and not the F350.
