    He doesn't know wut hes doin. He used 2 people & doesn't realize there's tire bead lube for mounting. When his water solution of dawn rusts out the inside of rim, hell understand.

    Great video! Thank you for your purchase! I’m glad the attachment worked out for you. Lowest profile I’ve done is a 225/40/18 and that also required two people.

      Awesome! Thank you! Your product is top notch sir. I don't know if you seen it, but we also did a video on building the DIY Lucid kit that has really been taking off lately. My son and I are getting ready to do a full set of 295 45 20s on 20x10s and a full set of 285 45 22s on 22x9.5.s Looking forward to the challenge. :)

    Great video and thanks for sharing! I used a bubble balancer also to balance my tires and it worked great but before I used it I did the modification on it where you drill out the hole where the pin sits and it makes it move freely. There's vids on how to here on TH-cam

    • @PNW_Car_Mods
      @PNW_Car_Mods  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Much to my surprise the amazon balancer I bought has apparently been revised by chi na as it has a fine point on the pin and the head has a more open hole. Out of the box it wold wobble for days and never grind to a halt. I was all prepared to have to modify it. I was generally happy with the results we got with it too. Looking forward to trying it again.

    Maybe put an old rag between the wheel and the tightener cone/tube thing to help prevent scratches otherwise looked very smooth nice job , thanks for the video going to put a tire on today wish me luck

    • @PNW_Car_Mods
      @PNW_Car_Mods  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You could definitely try a rag but I think as much torque as you do to clamp the wheel it will probably cookie cut the rag. You could try an old piece of vinyl or leather maybe? Let us know how your job turns out! Dismounting low profiles is harder than mounting we've come to find out. So be prepared for that if you are dismounting. Once the beads are broken and you clamp the wheel using the duckhead on the outer bead is super easy. Getting the inner bead off to full remove the tire is the PITA. Tire wants to fall off the duckhead. Helps to have two people. If you run into that problem. I will probably do a dismount specific video to show our workaround for this. Just need another job to do to show this.

      I knew this would be right up your alley WJH. Yeah I've done 10 trailer tires in the last year and after doing the last set of trailer tires 100% manually I was done with it so I ponied up the money for this setup. I was all set to buy a full on tire machine and balance right one covid hit to make some extra money but the reality of it is, I just don't have the space for a big modern tire machine.

      @PNW_Car_Mods ok, that's encouraging to hear. Related these machines size capacity, what in your opinion is the limiting factor? Perhaps the design? size ? Maybe both. I'm just curious so I know how to shop for one that fits my needs, and hardly any tires comes stock with less than 20's now a days. I'll be wait to see how those 22's work for ya..subscribed and thanks .

      @@phillipgrandison2384 It is the length of the beam that the duckhead pole slides on. We are almost to the end on a 20 inch wheel but I think there is enough left to be secure with the 22s. I'll have videos up for both the job we did today and the 22s after a few weeks. Stay tuned! Thanks for checking us out.

      4.4 inches at the widest point. I think it is going to work for nearly everything including steelies. Amazon www.amazon.com/dp/B0CHNZ7YTC?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

    Did bubble balancing work for you?

    • @PNW_Car_Mods
      @PNW_Car_Mods  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm gonna tentatively say yes. So here's the deal. We balanced them really well and bolted them on. Car drives glass smooth until you hit exactly 67mph and then starts vibrating. I wasn't too worried about it and drove it a couple hundred miles trouble free and generally pretty happy with it. That being said as an experiment I took them on thursday to my local family owned tire shop that has a hunter road force balancer. There was surprisingly very little change. I think they added a 1/4 oz weight to the inner beads on 3 of the 4 wheels and a few other minor changes. Went out and took it on the freeway and sure as shit it starts to vibrate at exactly 67mph. So I think what I have going on here is a loose fit up at the hubcentric portion to the hub on my rear wheel spacers. So I am going to shim the spacers to the stock hubs and take that slop up and see if the problem goes way. The hubcentric to wheel from the spacer is tight as hell so I know it's not there. I will report back if that fixes it. If that doesn't fix it I'll be making the switch to ARP long wheel studs and billet spacers for the rear. If all else fails I'll bolt these tires and wheels on to my sons 4th gen camaro SS and see if his car vibrates with them. That being said my car did not vibrate at all with the old set of tires even well into the triple digits.

      Getting within 1/4 oz is really good, so I would say your bubble balancer is good. Especially as it was pretty much verified with the Hunter machine.
      65 on the freeway was where I found vibration problems early on, found my HF bubbler was poorly made too which didn't help. Plus I put the weights on wrong with my first wheels (rim weights). Since then I use the stick-ons, as close as I can get them to the wheels vertical CG plane. That ended dynamic imbalance for me.
      Video for finding where to find the wheel CG, for weight placement th-cam.com/video/fwqR13Do1XY/w-d-xo.html
      I use hub centric rings for balancing hubs with larger diameters, so I can use the same steel ball. They are kind of tight, so that should have worked. Nice to be able to swap wheels on vehicles. That should definitely reveal the source of the vibration.
      Good luck
