In today's video we ponder life, and the afterlife, and try to understand what people experience just as they are about to die.

When my mom passed away 3 years ago, the day before she died, I went to see her. She didn't really say much but as I was leaving her room in the hospital, she grabbed ahold of my hand and held it for awhile. She couldn't say "I love you," but when she grabbed my hand, I knew she was trying to say it without words. I saw her on a Friday, then the next day, Saturday, she passed away. I can't say that I knew what she was thinking in her final moments but seeing her body after she had passed, she looked as though she was smiling. She was finally at peace. And although she's been gone 3 years, things haven't felt the same since she died. I hold onto all the memories I have of her. I think of her every single day. You just never know when a loved one will go.
My grandfather died many years ago but my mom always persists on reminding me of it. I know she's heart broken as was I. I remember crying so hard I had to leave. It's unreal everyone will go through this one day. Peace be with all.

Before my grandma (Tuberculosis patient) died, She waited till my father, her only son came home . And pointed up (saying to us she's going to heaven.). Dad was crying so much . And I was 12 by that time but I felt that. RIP Grandma don't worry will be together again someday. :)

When I almost died in the hospital I can hear everyone around me I knew I was dying but I was calm I didn't care but I came too
I almost drown when i was little I saw my family at my funeral or what I assume is my funeral they were crying but I had no emotions I felt at peace what did you see or feel.
My spouse was about dead on the table in the operating room after a bad car accident, he could hear the doctors talking and he looked down upon his own body on the table. He lived and I married him years later. I know he tells the truth. That’s not the only strange thing he experienced. One time a man fell to his death and the mans spirit courses through my husbands body. True

I started shuddering, seizing, my vision tunneled, then my hearing went muffled, as total darkness washed over me, I remember feeling terrible sadness for my wife I was leaving behind, I wanted to apologize to her then, there was nothing. I was successfully resuscitated and woke from my medically induced coma some many days down the road. Definitely changed my outlook on life, much love to all of you.

When my grandma passed she waited for all of us to be there we all had to greet her one last time I said bye ma and she said nee bye nie which translates to no not goodbye .❤️I luv her so much rip queen
I lost by brother tragically from a RTC 4yrs ago and I never got to say goodbye but few days later he came to me in a dream and hugged me so tight. And it gave me strength to carry on. My cousin who also died in the same RTC came to me just recently in my dreams and he described what happened and just before the accident filling in the gaps we all didn't know.

I remember having a near death feeling after taking anti-depressants for 3 days, and felt that my mind completely detached from my body. I experienced tunnel vision, small lights appearing, a loss of sensation, self, and spatial awareness. My heart was pounding at 140-160 bpm, and I felt my body slowly giving up to the severe panic attack I was experiencing. My mind was rushing, my thoughts played back random moments of my life, and my vision was beginning to fade out to darkness. This sudden, heavy weight of regret, guilt and sadness came over me, and I remember thinking I wasn't happy with this being the end of my life - there was still so much I hadn't achieved yet. When I was convinced this was my last moment on earth, I told my partner at the time to tell my family I love them, nothing else mattered. But I came back to consciousness in the hospital, and I felt dread and fear over what I'd experienced. Was that what death actually felt like? Were we all heading towards that same fate?
This has never happened since, but I was awakened to a whole new sense of reality. Whilst you're still here, live life in the happiest way possible, and live without any regrets. When your mind rushes in those last moments, you will only experience happy thoughts, and the sense of regret or guilt is instead replaced with joy and elation. You take away all your greatest achievements, and realise that if you were able to live again, you wouldn't have done it any differently.
Please don't waste a moment of your life in a job you hate, surrounded by people who treat you badly, and in a place that doesn't nurture you. You will regret not chasing your dreams or trying out that food you wanted, or attending that concert, or seeing your favourite sports team on the field, or not seeing that movie, or not reading that book, or not reaching out to friends and family.
Life is to be lived. And you'll miss the endless possibilities out there if you sit idly by.

I almost drowned once, there’s a point where you just accept your fate to the point where you’re so calmed that you’re not even panicking and don’t even feel pain. When I think about that day I get goosebumps... I never want to feel like that again.

Take this with a LARGE grain of salt, But I remember a Simpson's episode where grandpa Simpson was going to die, but the doctor said that there was a chemical released in your brain to let you have a peaceful death, and that they prevented it from being released. This let grandpa Simpson live.
As a person who has been in revolution and war for more than 6 years of my life, many of my friends died in front of my eyes, and I have also experienced certain death more than 100 times, I can tell you that Those moments were the most peaceful moments of my life...!

I found out my mum was on her death bed just hours before she passed away. Fortunately, I was able to sit with her and hold her hand whilst she went. The next night, she came to me in my dream in her teenage form and I just remember feeling so much unconditional love!
My grandpa passed away on january and I went to my first funeral... It has been a very traumatic experience for me. I don't know if it has anything to do with 2020 (probably, because we've seen people dying all the time in the news) but I've been feeling irrational fear when it comes to death, panick attacks that I can't control, insomnia, dreams surrounding death and pain on random parts of my body. I really do not wish for any person to feel the way I've been feeling the last few months.

I was in that peaceful darkness a couple months ago when I had an accident that killed my brother
I felt no pain, don’t even know when it happened but I remember being nothing, and in an endless dark void and I felt the most peace I’ve ever had in my life! I always think what if I never woke up? It wouldn’t have been bad except for my family I’d leave behind
But thank God I woke up, felt the pain and walked through it , and for that my families didn’t have to mourn my lose just yet! I’m still with them recovering from several broken bones/ribs but knowing they’re there for me means everything
I've worked in hospice and many ppl leading up to their death say that they can see and hear loved ones that died before them. I've heard this so many times that I believe it's true. I believe your loved ones come to you before you die to keep you calm so you aren't afraid of transitioning.

My grandmother died 4 years ago, and I'm still in grief counseling. I miss her so much, I wasn't there when she died, but I hope she is well on the other side. One day I'll join her.
I made it right as my best friend died. When I got there his parents told me he was waiting for me. I held is hand and he squeezed it and then that was it. I hadn't seen him in years and I felt guilt about that but that moment was something I'll remember forever. He passed at 25 from cancer.

I recently lost an aunt and when speaking with her doctor, he literally said that every single patient he's ever had that fearlessly said, "I am going to die today", actually did, even where there was no obvious sign of sorts. He said that its as if there's a system behind the process that these patients suddenly become aware of but is at peace with it. Even he said that there's obviously more to dying and death than they understand right now.

I have died and was given more time and got to return. Yes, you can hear VERY WELL and can pickup conversations from a long distance from your body. You to see your life pass before you, but as you explained, not like you figure it will be..mostly accomplished moments, things you did, etc. And finally, you do see that bright light as you are being transported to the light. If you know Jesus, and have been saved, it the most peaceful experience you can imagine...the peace is hard to put into words. Thanks for making the video to somewhat explain what happens. There is a life after this one....

Sh it's when u die god is calling u to his wonderful world heaven u will be treated kindly and u will be amazing u will see all ur dead loved ones and it will be happy eternity but we not really die we are just leaving apart of our soul behind
This video killed off all of my remaining suicidal thoughts. I’m not sure why, and of course it doesn’t work for everyone, but explaining the mental side of it all scientifically like this makes it feel more permanent and terrifying than counseling ever did.

Yeah, that's why if I get a choice on how I go I'm taking a ton of Benzos and then iv Diacetylmorphine, shutting down the central nervous system losing consciousness and causing total brain death. Brain wouldn't have time to realise I'm dying in that situation.

my grandfather had died from alzheimer’s because his body forgot how to work and eventually forgot how to breath and his brain didn’t know how to work and then his heart no longer pumped blood RIP i will love you forever and always😇❤️

Alexander Remillard yes it’s not just memory loss your body loses all of its abilities usually seizures will happen a while before death but seizures occur all through out having it so you can’t really tell

My grandma died last week, and it was as if she was waiting for me dad to see her one last time because he’d been travelling for a week from Scotland to Algeria and after he got there he went to the hospital and held her hand while she was on life support ,then an hour later she died.

We all know what Rose meant. It still feels absurd that she lets go of his hand after saying "I'll never let go".
I've almost died. I threw up a ton of blood (I had unknowingly been bleeding in my digestive system for weeks then the hole tore open). I couldn't stand up because every time I did my vision became a shadowy halo. I also had trouble walking because the whole experience made me high as a kite. My whole body felt like a prickling numbness and my brain felt like I took in a massive amount of THC.
Luckily, I had a wife and was saved. Last thing I remember clearly is my blood pressure being 60/40 and then having the fastest emergency room wait time I have ever experienced. Then I spent the rest of the time going in and out of remembering things. Though I was told I was awake, just tired.
I have to say, aside from the whole dying thing itself it was virtually painless.
