Really good video,..most enjoyable to watch my two favorite South African Airgunners/videographers out on a hunt together. I've just enjoyed the best of both worlds here for the past 20 plus minutes. Thanks you Matt.
Love you videos. I consider your vids "family" vids. All my kids have grown up with hunting and fishing in their lives and would love watching your vids. We really appreciate the lack of cussing, drinking, acting irresponsible, etc. Some airgun vids seem to be recorded by thugs. Keep up the good work and God bless. Stay safe.
awesome shooting & shot placement...those porcupine go down so easy, I thought they would have been a hard animal to take down...love your videos, you actually show us what the guns can do,the different impact between pellets and slugs...👍
Wow what a Great video Mat, some thing a bit different , you guys certainly cleaned up on that night, and congrats on that really long shot, Awesome, Thanks to you All, Cheers from the Uk.
A truly outstanding night of hunting Matt, you and your team absolutly excelled yourselves in this video with sensational footage and a feast of tasty fresh meat.
Quite the hunt! First time I heard mention of leopards - always wondered if you were safe walking around in shorts, wearing flip-flops and just carrying an airgun. No concerns for large wild animals, snakes or other potentially dangerous things? As a fisherman, I am very interested in those porcupines - the long quills make excellent floats (dobbers) and the long guard hairs would be great for tying fishing "streamers" (long fish shaped flies). We have porcupines here in Canada but the quills are only 3 to 10 cm long. Cheers! Hank
Hey Hank ... indeed these long quills makes great fishing floats. I live here and we often use long floats when targeting Blue Kurper in fast running water . They are quite light and buoyant . With respect to your concerns about leopards, I would say that in general these animals avoid people, especially when people move in groups ...attacks are rare and normally take place when the animal is confronted unexpectedly or cornered in a tight spot . Leopards however should not be underestimated since they are opportunistic and stealthy predators . Same as the North American Mountain Lions I suspect ...
@@georgeveltchev530 Hey George, thank you very much for replying! I appreciate your comments as my perspective of South Africa is limited to what I can see looking over Matt's shoulder while he is hunting - incredibly beautiful country you live in! The terrain here in eastern Ontario is fairly bland being mostly flat with some hilly areas and many lakes and rivers. Locally, the most dangerous animal is a mean domestic bull and there are no poisonous snakes. Once every decade or so a Mountain Lion is seen in some remote area and that creates a big stir. I sigh sadly as I wonder what happened to all those quills - they got a life-times worth of floats in one night! In addition to shooting airguns I am an avid fisherman; find myself admiring - from a fly tying perspective, the fur and feathers of the game Matt gets, so different from what we have here. Cheers George! Hank
I took a duiker down with an old .22 shadow gammo, was good meat, can’t afford the impact at the moment but the kral nemisis is what I use now with three different calibers, worked for me so far to the detriment of many scrub hares and guinea fowl
This was awesome! Those hares are about the same size as the domestic rabbits I raise. 5 k maybe? Thank you for re-sharing this. It was a lot of fun watching!
what is going on with FX quality. i have been watching your channel for a long time and have always dreamed of finally getting an FX now i find out that there are tons of problems with their quality control so much that air guns of arizona stopped carrying them
You should try changing the color of your light to red or green. That's what they do in Texas when hunting hogs at night and it works very well. Another Great Video!!
I don't know why people keep asking him anything, because i never saw him answering to subscribers ever. Which is really disrespectfull. Not saying he should answer all, but not even one time is not cool at all. You can wait for his q&a and get answer there if ur lucky. To bad for lack of comunication on such a good channel like this.
@@jesseling6672 I am not snowflake!! I couldn' t care less if he will answer or not i'm just making a point that there's another place for questions, therefore pointing people in direction where they can get their questions answered. You misinterpreted my comment.
hehe Mat looks young there ...Oh and another thing Dubber you cost me a lot of money cos i had to go buy an M3 here in the uk. Keep up the good work, I need some more dassie hunting please .
Funny how, halfway around the world in the US, and across wide oceans, we have almost the exact same version of almost everything you hunt (except the duiker, baboons and monkeys). Hares, 'chucks, crows, pigeons, squirrels, porcupines, rabbits.....
Hi there I was wondering if you can do some small game Harvest clean cook with some of the South African recipes so I can try some of the simuler recipes here with a small game here in America
How much does the fx impact cost i cant find it online....im a new sub liking ur videos...i personaly use the gamo swarm .22 cal 975 fps for rabbit and raccoon hunting and pest control i love pellet hunting saving up for a big boy pellet gun for big game i cant wait
I remember this video. I found it first when I was looking fir porcupine hunting videos. I've been telling people about BBQ'ing porcupine for 24 hours, for YEARS. Edit: some of the best, sweetest meat you'll eat.
23 grains at 900 fps is 41 foot pounds. That converts to 55.6 joules. That is a 22 caliber slug. It goes up if they use a 30 cal barrel but that is not allowed in South Africa.
Watch whole ad, like the vid, comment as to make sure the YT algorithm gets the message. This content needs to stay relevant.

Looks like it from the wound.
Good job

Awesome, glad to see pellets being used, were they 18,13 or 25.39gr. How do you think the Hades would have fared?
Great clean shooting well done you two ☺️👍
As a guy who has to shoot rats at about 20 yards, dang that rabbit shot was sweet. Good on ya mate.
My springer's got no game there

Why do the hares somersault when hit by the pillet? At 12:05 it did twice in the air.Just curious🤔

I thought you wore gonna use nvg or a night vision sight
@AirArmsHuntingSA Matt, why have you never considered something like the ATN...?
So, Porcupines are considered to be pests in SA so why is it illegal to import their quills for fishing floats to the UK??
Great hunt guys
Have u looked into pard nv007? I have one its pretty nice as I can swap it from rifle to crossbow to airgun without rezeroing everything
Great video ! Do u run risk of encountering venomous snakes during your trips ?
You shot a hare at nearly 262.5 feet away. Nicely done!!
