Great video and a great adventure. Thanks for sharing your trip. I was expecting a Scottish accent from Sean Connery’s brother! Great to see mates out enjoying the adventure. What binoculars do you recommend?
Great video. Thanks. Matt from MTN gear also produces amazing MTN bipods. Super light. You should get him on to speak on the podcast about South Island hunting and also MTN gear. He's awesome! Let us know when the poddie is up and going. Tell your mate to look at the Hilleberg Soulo! If your feet are getting cold think.about puffer socks. Super light.
Great footage mate. I love the winter stuff. Juat starting my hunting journey since i moved to the uppermurry and a snow hunting trip is on yhe cards this year. Thanks for the effort hope yas had fun
Nice country but sad the deer have been disrespected and government ground and helicopter culling has devastated a small population of samba in this type of country that have little to no negative impact on the land
Double up on your socks and slide a hand warmer in between them. Never have cold feet again 👍 Beautiful country in that area, very rugged. Great vid.
Thanks mate will give that a crack. Yea a beautiful spot ⛰️✅️
Hey Jason, thanks for sharing! It’s a big beautiful country we live in.

Great video. Looks cold. This would have been late May after the Expo was it?
Yea mate straight after the expo. Was cold 🥶 loved the Mtn Stick mate, very cool design.
Staunch!
I say cold 🥶🥶
You would be better to hunt the High Country in August, September through to November to avoid the white outs. 🦌
👍 yea looking at heading back down this year 👊
Yeah, l enjoyed your video because of its honesty to learn. It reminded me what we went through 50 years ago hunting the elusive Sambar. Keep it up👍
Nice country but sad the deer have been disrespected and government ground and helicopter culling has devastated a small population of samba in this type of country that have little to no negative impact on the land
Yea we wernt sure if this area had been chopper shot. They were shooting further to the northeast while we were there.
They’ve culled most remote areas that hold good numbers of deer. The list is as long as my arm.
Still got heeps in the upper Murry. My hope is they can't chopper shoot the state Forest behind me because my house is like 30m away
