Also Darnley is not buried beside Queen Mary in Westminster Abbey he was buried in Holyrood Abbey in Edinburgh.

Margaret Beaufort was not married to Jasper Tudor, he was her husband, Edmund Tudor’s brother. He fled to France with 4 year old Henry VII and was with him at the Battle of Bosworth for his place as king.

I really don't know why, i cried the first time i seen, really cried. I thought it was just a weird day. That was a few years ago. Everytime I've watched videos about it over the years, I've cried every time. It's the most bizarre feeling. I don't cry at TH-cam videos, i watch happy things with nice people. 🤷♀️ it's a mystery. Beatrix Potters cottage, is said to be a lovely experience, to visit. Funny you saying that = I read an article, a while back "on past lives & spirit of plsce etc" & that broached on the subject, of high emotions when sometimes seeing/visiting a place. Made another mistake, Beaufort was not married to Jasper Tudor, she was married to Edmond, Jasper's older brother. She was married at 12 years of age and gave birth to her only child, Henry at 13. The birth tore her up so bad she could never have any more children. Jasper pretty much raised Henry VII keeping him safe in exile and fought beside him upon returning to England.

Beaufort's husband was not Hastings but Stanley.....who was Captain of the Tower. Making it very possible for Beaufort to gain access herself or had someone get in kill the two boys with no one knowing. Paving the way as you said for her son to take the throne. I always thought it odd that Henry VII never did anything to learn the truth of what happened to his beloved wife's brothers. He just excepted the story being told that Richard III was responsible for their disappearance.

Mary was not Queen of England. But was a royal blood cousin and queen of Scotland.. Therefore recieved a burial in the royal tomb. But would not have been of standard an English Ruler received. Except her son became King of England and would have given her more prestige as his mother.
Margaret Countess of Lennox. Sister to Henry VIII. Was Scotish Queen Consort, mother of 1 Scotish King, Grandmother of Queen Mary, and Great Grandson of Scotish/ English King James. Her Son from second marriage resulted in descendent Lord Darnley who married her Granddaughter Queen Mary (so pretty much cousins) and produced King James.

You are wrong Queen Mary I of Scotland (MQOS) was indeed buried as a Queen by the very state that illegally murdered her. Queen Mary was buried with the full pomp of a state funeral attended by the English nobility with Elizabeth personally represented by her friend the Countess of Bedford. Whilist Queen Mary did not actually rule in England she was the legitimate and rightful Queen of England as well of Scotland. Elizabeth Tudor was illegitimate. The officers of State at end of the state funeral broke their staffs of office which happens only to monarchs. As I began to watch this video and often thought how nice to one day visit England; I immediately opted to ‘take a pass’ on spending any of my time looking at this tomb. She made being an Irish Catholic a living hell. I hope her and her father made amends ~ wherever they are.

The Church of Rome’s Popes (my Church, remember) recognises the British Monarch as the lawful Sovereign of the United Kingdom so who am I to disagree with the Pope? She even went so far to shake the hand of the murderers of her close relative Lord Louis Mountbatten, which is truly Christian.

Beaufort's husband was not Hastings but Stanley.....who was Captain of the Tower. Mary was not Queen of England. But was a royal blood cousin and queen of Scotland.. Therefore recieved a burial in the royal tomb. But would not have been of standard an English Ruler received. Except her son became King of England and would have given her more prestige as his mother.

Her Son from second marriage resulted in descendent Lord Darnley who married her Granddaughter Queen Mary (so pretty much cousins) and produced King James.

You are wrong Queen Mary I of Scotland (MQOS) was indeed buried as a Queen by the very state that illegally murdered her. Queen Mary was buried with the full pomp of a state funeral attended by the English nobility with Elizabeth personally represented by her friend the Countess of Bedford. Whilist Queen Mary did not actually rule in England she was the legitimate and rightful Queen of England as well of Scotland. Elizabeth Tudor was illegitimate. The officers of State at end of the state funeral broke their staffs of office which happens only to monarchs. Margaret Douglas was Aunt to Mary Queen of Scots not grandmother,nor was she mother to a Scottish King,her son Henry Stuart,Lord Darnley ,he was merely King consort by his wife's wish not v parliament. Both Queen Mary and Henry Lord Darnley grandmother was Queen Margaret Tudor wife of King James IV of Scotland Queen Mary's claim was superior to Darnley s coming from first marriage , Darnley descended from 2nd marriage of Queen Margaret Tudor, making Queen Mary an Darnley first cousins on maternal side but I think 3rd cousin's on the Paternal side as Darnley was descended through his father Mathew Stuart from James III of Scotland. In 1606 "3 years after her death" King James her successor, had her moved + this memorial made. His mother, Mary Queen of Scots executed in 1587 & originally buried in Peterborough Cathedral." King James, had her exhumed & moved to Westminster in 1612, & that's when her monument was made. So Elizabeth's 3 years after her death. & Mary's 25 years after her death ✌️

Hi there. Sorry for the late reply = I've had a lot going on recently. No, not all of them are buried underground. Some are in box tombs "like King Edward I & some of the medieval monarchs." From the Tudor period onwards "people were laid to rest, in Vaults underground." 👍✌️

It’s an interesting fact that more British Catholics were executed for their faith in the reign of Queen Elizabeth I than the entire existence of the Spanish Inquisition. As I began to watch this video and often thought how nice to one day visit England; I immediately opted to ‘take a pass’ on spending any of my time looking at this tomb. She made being an Irish Catholic a living hell. I hope her and her father made amends ~ wherever they are.

The Church of Rome’s Popes (my Church, remember) recognises the British Monarch as the lawful Sovereign of the United Kingdom so who am I to disagree with the Pope? The late Queen did more for Anglo-Irish relations than any monarch before her. She even went so far to shake the hand of the murderers of her close relative Lord Louis Mountbatten, which is truly Christian.
