I've bought about a dozen of these 'small' posters and I have to say the print quality is good. I have had a couple fall off the wall but re-securing them with two magnets instead of one solves that problem.
My only problem with these is the leaflets fall off the wall all the time. I've had to nail my magnets to the wall, but at least I can still move the plates around
Although it would be as gracious as magnetic mounting, you could always get something like command wall mounting strips. Won't leave holes from nailing magnets in, and won't fall off as easily.
I wanted to get one but then I realized most of the images are user uploaded images that break copyright and displate simply takes the "we'll take it down if someone says something but otherwise do nothing" approach.
Have you tried out the XL sized posters? I've been curious how they look, since they come as like 4 corners that you stick together, but no one has done a video on them.
@@bigmiki2620 I think I prefer that considering that stretching the image over a large surface seems to distort and degrade the quality. This I think not only makes it easier to transport safely, but also allows for 4 crisp images to make up a whole rather than one distorted one.

I feel like a lot of posters are just Google images that were photoshopped. Also, I've heard that they screw over some artists. Choosing to often close their accounts instead of paying them.
I really hope that's not the case! Like I said these companies that spend a lot on advertisements are usually the worst. I had a bad experience with their customer service team ☹️. I will not be purchasing another...
This is true. I'm an artist and for every displate I only get 2$ per 44$ item. I mean, wtf? I created the original artwork. I deserve a higher commission. And after days when I sold one of it, displate removes it without any reasons. And Diplate has a terrible customer service.

I ordered 3 displates 1 small and 2 mediums. They came really well packed. If theres an issue with it its probably thr fault of whoeverr delivered it. Though I got mine delivered to my apartment which is nice
@@jennak8946 They must have updated their packaging then, regardless packaging is designed to be tossed and stacked and often ends with some dings. Companies need to provide appropriate support when packing against such conditions especially when they ship out side the country. Let me add that the customer service was very good and do wish the company all the best. They have a great product, and they took care of my issue. If they can give everyone the same service they gave me I'll recommend them.

Hey i got the large andd extra large. And wow. They are pretty big. Significantly larger then the medium. And the XL is basically 4 of them plastered together to make 1 big photo. Pretty sizeable
@@PizzlesTechTime My wall is basically solid concrete and just painted. Only have to worry about paint chipping off if you try to remove it. But since its a new coat, all i did was vacuum the wall, wipe it with a bit of alcohol and dry it off before i pasted it.(It shouldnt peel off unless i forcibly do it really hard.) What i did different was after pasting the sticker i left it for about half an hour, then the magnet to let it sink in for a bit. Then just mounted the posters. And they look, Fantabulous. Makes the space a bit more personal.

Best to use water or light alcohol solution diluted. I learned this the hard way LOL. I'm very curious how the large one looks. I ended up reaching out to display and they offered to send me a new picture and 🧲. Shortly after I message them photos they stopped answering me. Which I thought was very strange. I ordered some new magnets and my venom one got a little banged up
Pizzles Tech Time What I used was diluted, it was more of to clean anything that was stuck to the wall that I couldn’t pick up with a wet rag and a vacuum. But thanks for the advice, definitely helps! Only qualm I have is..well.. they can cost an arm and a leg. Especially the larger prints if you’re planning for a small Budget on home improvement. I’ll post a photo soon enough here once I’ve gotten my things sorted.
If you’re going for a larger displays I would suggest not getting a frame because of the weight it ends. The frame on medium sized plates work great tho!
It's all preference. I like the ability to move my poster. Hopefully you can buy it once and have it a very long time. Posters rip obviously which is the main flaw. You can damage a displate but it is much harder

The position can be shifted easily on the magnet. If you want to move the display to another room you will need another magnet and protection sticker. They can be purchased on displate
Yes you can order new stickers from displate.com. I had to do that myself after my mistake. From what I can tell they leave nothing on the wall at all. Which makes it great for apartment dwellers.
Only if there are imperfections beneath the paint. If you peel it off right and the paint is decent quality it should be fine. You can also use command strips instead of the mounting system and just put the magnet on command strips.
I'm really not sure about this. Aren't there copyright issues with this? Because I almost ordered one with some really cool comic book art, only to discover just in time that the speech bubbles in the background have been altered so one character yelled "P * R N ?" . I mean that's funny and all that, but 1. I don't want it up on my wall then and 2. I wonder if the artist agreed to the use of their picture on displate and gets a part of the money. I mean they claim that the artists upload their work themselves, but sometimes it's even just some screenshot from an anime or so. So I'm sceptical how many artists really uploaded their work themselves.
Idk, I bought one and the quality was not where I expected it from the photos. Wasn't nearly as crisp of an image and the metal is just cheap feeling tin or something. Its a shame because there are some really cool designs but I don't think I will be spending that type of money for one again.
I just put the sticker and magnet up. They are secure, the magnet WILL NOT hold the poster. Not even a little bit. It will click to the poster but as soon as you let go, it will slide right off. I just bought four plates, can't hang them at all, now I have this shit brown paper on my wall. Spent almost 400 dollars and they can't even supply proper mounting hardware.

Is picture printed directly onto metal plate or is it some paper that was glued onto metal plate? There seem to be sides of the picture over reaching to back side of the plate so I'm a bit confused. It kinda negates the whole point of metal poster if it's just unnecessary weight under paper.

You can buy really cheap smoke alarm magnets. I use them, they are small and the adhesive is super strong. I use two for one displate

The corners of the displate is very harsh on white walls, immediately starts scratching white paint when you mount it
Ehh only when it falls then it becomes user error. The whole sticky paper doesn't work that great though.

It's personal preference! Gloss is shiny and Matt is flat. No you do no need a frame. I have heard of people using one I think.

Honestly if the door is flat you're all good bro! Pretty impressed with how well my displates have stayed up.

I mean they claim that the artists upload their work themselves, but sometimes it's even just some screenshot from an anime or so. So I'm sceptical how many artists really uploaded their work themselves.

Idk, I bought one and the quality was not where I expected it from the photos. Wasn't nearly as crisp of an image and the metal is just cheap feeling tin or something. Its a shame because there are some really cool designs but I don't think I will be spending that type of money for one again.
Yeah I did notice that as well as expected a little more. I guess those magnets probably wouldn't hold up heavier metal.
I just put the sticker and magnet up. They are secure, the magnet WILL NOT hold the poster. Not even a little bit. It will click to the poster but as soon as you let go, it will slide right off. I just bought four plates, can't hang them at all, now I have this shit brown paper on my wall. Spent almost 400 dollars and they can't even supply proper mounting hardware.

I just painted my walls and want to get these. But do they destroy the walls? Like when i remove these posters one day will they leave a mark on my wall?
No they should not. I had one on for a year and took it off last week with no damage

Is picture printed directly onto metal plate or is it some paper that was glued onto metal plate? There seem to be sides of the picture over reaching to back side of the plate so I'm a bit confused. It kinda negates the whole point of metal poster if it's just unnecessary weight under paper.
