I know I may have left out some details with my reaction. Sometimes things don't come to my mind right away. So I apologize if I get information wrong or leave it out, especially based on real world events that happened 20+ years ago.
@TheCrazyCacaConsumer on Zach Hazards Twitch channel he confirmed this of course they got lucky that they weren't charged with High Treason for practically handing a Bradley to the insurgents
Btw, the guy telling the Bradley story (the small arms repairman) is Zach Hazard, his subtitles have a blue outline. Mike is the other guy, with the red outline.
Clearing a firearm means you are checking if a round is in the chamber not making sure it cannot fire that would be disassembling or making it inoperable
the Company Commander, Bradley Commander & Gunner were charged with Dereliction of Duty and Gross Negligence their dammed lucky they didn't get charged with High Treason for practically handling a mulit million dollar piece of equipment to the Insurgents
@@brothersgt.grauwolff6716 wouldn't be the first time someone avoided getting charged with treason for abruptly leaving expense military equipment behind.
O.B.L. and his insurgents went after larger vehicles because they believed it to be more significant, and the weapons of Tankers and Pilots were kept as status symbols. This is why O.B.L. carried an AK-74u (Russian Tanker weapon) in his propaganda vids.
As far as I've heard most people think the wars in the Middle East were a mistake that didn't really help anyone much. Besides the companies that make the weaponry and the politicians who have their stock.
I don't think it matters how you feel about the Iraq War, we can all agree that the commander in that story is scum, and the rest are cowards for not speaking up. Fortunately, I believe it was discovered that there were indeed consequences for those at fault.
the Company Commander, Vehicle Commander & Gunner were charged with Dereliction of Duty & Gross Negligence and were nearly charged with High Treason for leaving behind both a fellow soldier and multi billion dollar equipment that could have been captured by the Insurgents
Highly recommend a show called Generation Kill if you can find it. Very accurate to what goes on in the military especially during the Iraq war since the people who worked on it were in the military during the Iraq.
Sadly, as with all fields, what SHOULD be expected of military personnel and what actually happened can be very far apart. Though if it's any consolation, the default reaction by veterans for the actions of the crew and the convoy has been shock and contempt.
I don't think that that guy was andry at you, it seamed to me he was just trying to provide context. Nothing in that comment pointed towards aggression. If he wanted to insult you he'd have prabably done so.

If it makes you feel any better the gunner, tank commander and convoy commanders basically got crucified in military court
@TheCrazyCacaConsumer on Zach Hazards Twitch channel he confirmed this of course they got lucky that they weren't charged with High Treason for practically handing a Bradley to the insurgents
And everyone else was discharged

Zach Hazard also has a Twitch channel
@@brothersgt.grauwolff6716 and a TH-cam channel where he also rants about guns.
@Davidofthelost , those would be Zachs Gun Rants 1-7 there hilarious and educational
If you don't mind a little gun babble, there's an entire seven-part series of "Zach's Gun Rants".
yeah, he rants about guns, and has some things to tell about them, too.

5:30 That reminds me of a joke I heard in a MilSim game. 'Ammo is expensive. My front bumper is free"
There's a huge chance that someone who was in charge of that group got court marshaled

1:40 How many times I need to say I wasn't angry? I'm sorry if this looked that way. My polish cynism must have slipped through.
Man I love these reactions, hope you do more of these cuz some of them are really funny and entertaining
agree!
Ah yes one of my absolutely favorite channels....mikeburnfire
Would love to see you react to more of the campfire stories by mikeburnfire, these two have a lot of good and funny stories.

You need the baloney Bob story to cheer you up.
