@@ai-spacedestructor another thing to note is Zach was in the military at probable the worst time to be in the military. He joined roughly before 9-11, so the bar for entry was really low (so he ended up working will a lot of incompetent people), but he was sent out with others at the beginning of the “War on Terrorism” campaign, which the military believed at the time would only last 6-9 months.
E3/E4 is a pay grade. You get the pay grade of E3 automatically after being in the army for a year, a year after that you get automatically promoted to E4. Regardless, just know that Zach was to absolute bottom of the food chain when he was in anger management.
You compare it to corporations, but keep in mind, the military is built upon layers and layers of beurocracy, way worse than any corporation. And in a corporation you don’t get in trouble for simply questioning or talking back, and you can always just quit
Mikeburnfire campfire stories are my favorite thing. Listen to when I'm at work, if you going continue to react to Mikeburnfire, I will recommend the Weird leg problems, baloney bob, and if you went to lose faith in the military and humanity, listen to his Bradley story.

Not that I'm complaining.

I thought you could just quit too but it came with the bonus of being classified as "awol" or "deserter".

That detail was conveniently left out of the story and I was new to his content. How the hell was I supposed to know?
