Very nice haul, Bill. I still need to watch The Cremator, For All Mankind and The Night of the Hunter. You also got The Hero, which is a awesome Satyajit Ray film that I love. If you're wondering about what I got for the sale outside of every Satyajit Ray film, I got Dekalog (Blind Buy), Double Indemnity (Blind Buy) and Mr. Klein (Blind Buy).
Definitely have to see The Cremator, that’s a new favorite of mine. I can always respect someone who purchases Dekalog. That’s a behemoth of a set.
@@BillGriff1 It is a very long series, ~12 hours (if you include A Short Film About Love and A Short Film About Killing, which are including in the boxset). I've only seen Dekalog 1 and loved it, surprisingly depressing though. Also, I'll watch The Cremator in a hour and if I like it, I'll order it off of Amazon (It's 50% off on Amazon as I'm typing this out).

Same. My copies of House, Cronos, and The Devil's Backbone all had issues with the subtitles. Yay for me being a dumb American and not learning Spanish or Japanese.

Which platform do you use to watch these films before buying them? Is it the Criterion Channel? I don't have access to it, sadly, as they don't offer it where I live (not the US).
iTunes has a few of these movies on sale ($5) and since Criterions don't normally include a digital code with physical copies, I added a handful of titles to my digital library. 🤑 Didn't make it out to BN. November isn't too far off though. 😎

I haven’t, but I’ve been wanting to watch “Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter” for a very long time. Also 3 Iron I heard is great.

What was wrong with your Raging Bull discs? My 4k disc froze about an hour into the film. I messaged Criterion but they said there haven't been any issues with that disc.
My 4K blu ray copy just couldn’t be read by the player, which sucks cause every other 4K has worked on it. My blu ray copy froze at the scene where De Niro accuses his brother of sleeping with his wife, 2/3 into the film.
Same with my copies of The Devil's Backbone, House and Cronos (that there haven't been any issues)
@@BillGriff1 I think that was the same spot where mine froze. How did you get them to let you send your discs back? They sent me some email showing me how to clean a disc properly
@@hunterdean4766 in the email they also stated that you can mail them the discs along with your address and a written description of the problems you encountered with the discs.
@@BillGriff1 The email they sent me didn't say anything about sending them discs. They say to clean the disc, update firmware, or troubleshoot my 4k player. Then it says if none of that works to let them know and we can explore their replacement options. Is that what you did?
Which 4k player do you own Mister Bill Griff?
I just use my Xbox One X. I would like to get a region free 4K player someday, but the Xbox works great enough.

Curious why you don't show yourself on here. All the other people who do this on here do. Not a big deal why you don't. I was just curious. I would probably do that as well. Night of the Hunter, Shaft 4k, Tokyo Drifter, and Anatomy of a Murder were the ones I picked up. Nice haul there Bill.
Just a personal preference for now, maybe in the future I’ll show my face more often. Glad to hear you picked up Night of the Hunter. That’s essential criterion.
