Just FYI this video is a re-upload and was made prior to the release of Justified: City Primeval. But in case you were wondering, I would have ranked City Primeval at Number 7... It had its moments, and it was great to see Timothy Olyphant back as Raylan Givens. However, I felt the show generally lacked the charm, depth, and style of the original six seasons 😐
Justified is undoubtedly the best neo western tv show set in modern times. Yellowstone and Longmire maybe come come to your minds, but Justified is special. Dialogues, characters, action, narrative, everything is so well done. Perfect blend of western and southern gothic elements.
I never got half way through season one. I really have to give this show another chance and check out how season 2 goes now that I know it hits such highs. My go-to is always to rewatch Deadwood for my fix of tv drama.
great list whats funny is though when I read the title of the video I immediately thought of Maggs in season 2 so I understand why it's number one....good shit as always
Hard to argue your rankings. I liked season 3 better than you, but I love them all. Season 2 is AMAZING and is not just the best season of Justified, but one of the best seasons of TV ever like you said. Maggs is right up there with Al Swearengen as one of the greatest characters of all time. It is amazing how Season 2 makes every season that follows it even better, with the continuing development of supporting characters, themes and consequences. Thanks as always for a great video.
I agree for the most part, but I disagree with your assessment of season 5. One of the best aspect of season 5 was seeing a different side of Dewey, and seeing how his more villainous family kept pulling him in darker directions that he didn't want to go.

@@JustWesterns In all honesty I've avoided it. I didn't want it to spoil my enjoyment of the original show. Maybe if enough folks tell me it's good I'll check it out.
5,1,2,6,3,4 5: uneven and Michael rappaport is the worst casting in the entire series. Ava is in prison waaay too long. Also I rather raylan had gone up against hot rod and the Dixie mafia as the big bad. 1: first half is a little bad guy of the week ish on rewatch though they drop threads that build to the 2nd half story very well. 2: absolutely tremendous for me though Boyd just isn’t quite boyd yet. 6: what everything had built up to and it delivers very satisfyingly 3: quarels is tremendous as is limehouse and every story element bounce and mesh with each other in the most intriguing way. 4: the build to solving the mystery is so fun, boyd is his most Boyd ish with probably his best crew. Might be the best mesh of every element of justifieds best qualities

Just began watching this show last months and it is amazing. Season Four is my personal favorite.
The good thing about Justified is even its worst seasons are better than some other shows good seasons.

I just bought and watched the whole series this summer. I'd seen it a long time ago. It all blends together when you binge watch.

One of the best dialogue on TV. just amazing show! How about Hell on Wheels? Is a great show too, but i think it loses itself at the long run....
