    There are three certainties in life: taxes, death, and someone talking shit about skilled performances on youtube.

    • @Shakafist
      @Shakafist 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +fuck I think just by unsnaring it. Is that what you mean? Sounds kinda high-tuned too. real tight, I dig that sound

    • @TheMetatron333
      @TheMetatron333 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Jadon R marching snare head? A lot of those are tight as sh**, great staccato sound.

    • @vvviiixxx8745
      @vvviiixxx8745 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dampened with the proper resonant tuning. Snare wires off. It’s all about how you tune the reso head and the batter head together. Can’t tell if it’s a clear batter head or not, but it kind of sounds like one - I hate them on snares, but YMMV.

    Not my style. There is no groove, feel or dynamics only speed wich nowadays isent impressive. 90% of drummers can do this

    • @cometcourse381
      @cometcourse381 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +d3rkpwnz I pretty much agree. 90% of drummers can do this because he/they would use a double kick-that is why I don't find anything about this (or anyone else who uses double kick) impressive.
      Just check out Zach Hill. He is the only person that can do what he does as far as I know.

      I think you're missing the fact this his playing is very conceptual and theme based in this solo... so maybe go back and listen to it again and find recurring ideas.

      the rhythm is crazy! upon reflection i wish i hadnt tried to demean the talent being displayed. its just hard to get through the whole thing without skipping.

  • @svenjameister8271
    @svenjameister8271 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Wow, this is reallly boring! The same 3 or 4 licks that you hear on and on in EVERY metal drum solo.
    Right-Left-Foot... Right-Left-Foot-Foot.. Right-Left-Right-Left... Right-Right-Left-Left... yeah, that's about it.
    And every once in a while the good old triplet on the bassdrum. Heard it a million times. Sounds the same everytime.
    95% showing off, 5% creativity. (how he incorporates the rims is pretty nice.)
