      Free men should never be denied access to weapons, if they are dangerous enough that they can’t be trusted with a firearm, then keep them locked up, or give them the death penalty. With background checks it is proving your Innocence everytime you by a gun. That goes against the presumption of innocence.

      While in the Marine Corps, I learned that one way to get your message across is to win the hearts and minds of the People. That’s what I always think about when debating someone, find something you have in common and use that to get your point across. And that’s what I thought when I was watching your video. So I absolutely loved it when you stated that in the end because that is really important when talking new laws or talking points, especially political debates. I started to realize within the past couple years that in the gun debate, it’s not people who are anti-gun, but rather just misinformed. We need more people like you to talk to anti-gunners in protests or rallies so they can hear our side of the debate. Unfortunately it also takes people, like the one in the video, to be open-minded and not surrounded by a bunch of extreme anti-gun minded people to realize what a lot of these new gun laws being proposed can actually do to hurt people who are at a disadvantage when trying to protect themselves.

      @Cobra Kai Back in the day people actually shot like that.
      Up until the late 50s everyone shot one handed with a goofy bladed stance. Then Weaver came along and started winning competitions in 1959 using both hands and changed the whole world.
      Modern isoscolece style stances didn't start catching on until the 80s.
      So if this guy the last time this guy shot was some time in the 70s, his shitty stance and grip make sense. No one was analyzing the biomechanics of marksmanship in great detail, yet.

      It’s an assault weapon only if it is used in an assault. Any weapon used in an assault regardless of what it is, is an assault weapon. Be it a firearm or not. That’s how I regard it anyway.

      @@johnkranig2054 looks like you need to correct your definition details below. Also one could use a bat...that would be an "assault weapon".... by your definition...we must outlaw baseball...baseball bats are use d as a weapon not just for sports....there for taking you logic further, a knife used for cooking/preparing a meal....if used that would be an "assault weapon" ....therefore all knives need to be made illegal.
      CNBC "AR-15-style rifles are NOT 'assault weapons' or 'assault rifles,' according to NSSF's website. "An assault rifle is fully automatic - a machine gun. Automatic firearms have been severely restricted from civilian ownership since 1934" *FYI- you need a Class 3 SOT(Federal Firearms License- FFL)- which is highly regulated/watched and you have to pay a tax every year, think it is about $200/per every qualifying weapon[machine guns(which actually is an assault weapon), silencers, short barrel rifle- modified barrel make shorter then standard size, short barreled shotgun(ie. sawed off shotgun).
      Why the AR 15 is not an assault rifle?
      Semi-automatic-only rifles like the Colt AR-15 are not assault rifles; they do not have select-fire capabilities(full auto, 3 round burst, single shot). Semi-automatic-only rifles with fixed magazines like the SKS are not assault rifles; they do not have detachable box magazines and are not capable of automatic fire.
      Automatic- 1 trigger pull and holding down of trigger, gun fires until it runs out of ammo.
      Semi-automatic- 1 trigger pull = 1 shot, you have to pull the trigger for every shot.
      "AR" comes from the name of the gun's original manufacturer, ArmaLite, Inc. The letters stand for ArmaLite Rifle - and not for "assault rifle" or "automatic rifle".

      I agree with you that an AR 15 is not an assault weapon nor a bat, knife or what ever, should be outlawed. But I also stand by what I said about assault weapons. Just because the government doesn’t see it that way or you, I stand on what I said. You and the government are looking only at a firearm as assault weapon. I’m looking at weapon of choice or opportunity that is used to assault someone. In my opinion. I don’t care if you agree with it or not. Instead of holding the instrument used accountable hold the one using it accountable.

    • @at6098
      @at6098 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@johnkranig2054 I agree with holding the user accountable.
      You have to becareful with just throwing the term "assault weapon" around because of how one side has used that labeling incorrectly. Because by you using it because AR15 can be used in an assault, gives fuel for the ideology of how the one side wishes to label everything as such and they dont even care/understand what the actual definition and meaning is of the terms they use, that is why I brought up a baseball bat and a knife, by there logic and with your statements, just because something is used to commit an assault makes it an assault "weapon" that logic puts the blame on the item used to commit the assault and not the actual person that committed the assault...so item used in an assault doesn't make the weapon used and "assault weapon" because "assault weapon" by definition is clear that it is a specific type of weapon with a very specific type of features. Like instead of saying "assault weapon" when it doesn't actually apply because "assault weapon" and "semi-auto weapon" are 2 very different types, like you said you would prefer to address the person committing the assault
      Assault(v)- make a physical attack.
      So a person that uses a baseball bat, knife, or semi-auto- is by definition committing "assault" not the weapon, so by labeling AR-15 as "assault weapon" just because it was used, when clearly it isn't because of technical specs and by several definitions and actually looking at what the term "assault" actually means- which holds the person accountable...instead of mislabeling firearms on a definition that doesn't apply, just say that the action if it was by baseball bat, knife for firearm is what is it...assault....nothing more or less.
      By using they term "assault weapon" incorrectly you are giving one side ammo due to your and others misinformation to take 90% of guns away from lawbiding civilians.
      Remember words have power and when used incorrectly that spreads false propaganda the one side will use to take away all rights. Because in many nations it has been seen that when they had what we call in the USA the "2nd Amendment" they had their rights, but when their government took their gun rights they lost all of their rights.
      The 2nd Amendment is what protects all of our rights, with out that....welcome to 1984(novel).

      @That Guy The NFA was originally enacted in 1934. Similar to the current NFA, the original Act imposed a tax on the making and transfer of firearms defined by the Act, as well as a special (occupational) tax on persons and entities engaged in the business of importing, manufacturing, and dealing in NFA firearms. The law also required the registration of all NFA firearms with the Secretary of the Treasury. Firearms subject to the 1934 Act included shotguns and rifles having barrels less than 18 inches in length, certain firearms described as “any other weapons,” machine guns, and firearm mufflers and silencers.
      While the NFA was enacted by Congress as an exercise of its authority to tax, the NFA had an underlying purpose unrelated to revenue collection. As the legislative history of the law discloses, its underlying purpose was to curtail, if not prohibit, transactions in NFA firearms. Congress found these firearms to pose a significant crime problem because of their frequent use in crime, particularly the gangland crimes of that era such as the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. The $200 making and transfer taxes on most NFA firearms were considered quite severe and adequate to carry out Congress’ purpose to discourage or eliminate transactions in these firearms. The $200 tax has not changed since 1934.
      As structured in 1934, the NFA imposed a duty on persons transferring NFA firearms, as well as mere possessors of unregistered firearms, to register them with the Secretary of the Treasury. If the possessor of an unregistered firearm applied to register the firearm as required by the NFA, the Treasury Department could supply information to State authorities about the registrant’s possession of the firearm. State authorities could then use the information to prosecute the person whose possession violated State laws. For these reasons, the Supreme Court in 1968 held in the Haynes case that a person prosecuted for possessing an unregistered NFA firearm had a valid defense to the prosecution - the registration requirement imposed on the possessor of an unregistered firearm violated the possessor’s privilege from self-incrimination under the Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. The Haynes decision made the 1934 Act virtually unenforceable.
      Title II of the Gun Control Act (GCA) of 1968
      Title II amended the NFA to cure the constitutional flaw pointed out in Haynes. First, the requirement for possessors of unregistered firearms to register was removed. Indeed, under the amended law, there is no mechanism for a possessor to register an unregistered NFA firearm already possessed by the person. Second, a provision was added to the law prohibiting the use of any information from an NFA application or registration as evidence against the person in a criminal proceeding with respect to a violation of law occurring prior to or concurrently with the filing of the application or registration. In 1971, the Supreme Court reexamined the NFA in the Freed case and found that the 1968 amendments cured the constitutional defect in the original NFA.
      Title II also amended the NFA definitions of “firearm” by adding “destructive devices” and expanding the definition of “machine gun.”
      Firearm Owners’ Protection Act
      In 1986, this Act amended the NFA definition of “silencer” by adding combinations of parts for silencers and any part intended for use in the assembly or fabrication of a silencer. The Act also amended the GCA to prohibit the transfer or possession of machine guns. Exceptions were made for transfers of machine guns to, or possession of machine guns by, government agencies, and those lawfully possessed before the effective date of the prohibition, May 19, 1986.

      Absolutely. Unfortunately when people who are anti gun use this term, you have to avoid the "semantics" (It's not but ya know..) debate or else you end up in this endless cycle of what an "assault rifle" is and they usually end with a "agree to disagree". Even if they are wrong. I found arguing this AFTER getting through to their root argument is way easier. But it is annoying so I understand.

      nd as for "hearts and minds", I decided a while ago the shelve that notion. 2 to the chest and 1 to the head will be my version of hearts and minds if one of these woke mobs tries to fuck around and find out at my house.
      Now I will try to succinctly explain the "why". I grew weary of seeing Stephen Crowder, James O'Keefe, Owen Schroder, Ben Shapiro, and every other conservative ask one of these leftist idiots (after being spat on by a dozen other leftists they tried to peacefully engage in discourse) ask that one question that leftist tards STILL can't give a solid answer to: WHAT IS AN ASSAULT RIFLE?
      This leftist idiot's definition is one of "those" guns that allows you to kill everyone in 4 seconds, while he motions as if spraying and praying from his hip (big surprise).
      Tl Dr: You never see an educated leftist spewing this Beto-speak because the .01% who bother to educate themselves NECESSARILY CHANGE THEIR OPINION DURING THE PROCESS OF LEARNING ABOUT IT. Keeping such tarded opinions intact after you learn "facts" takes a special kind of stupid.
      This leads me to the conclusion that they don't care about facts and becoming educated. Which necessarily means they don't care about making meaningful positive change (for example lowering violent crime overall, not just deaths from metal bang sticks that are longer, but go bang similarly to the short ones). The next logical step forces me to ask "if they don't care about what they claim to, then... wut?
      Being right, being victims, and having YOU to blame for their lack of whatever they feel they are lacking. And, try as we may, we will never be able to fill the massive void that would remain if we took victimhood away from them. We still do HAVE to take it away for the sake of us, our families, the country, God, and everyone else deserving of simple peace.
      So until the "tolerant" left stops imitating fascists while displaying the absolute greatest show of 100% pure hypocrisy I have ever seen (little runts about small enough I could punt them, and absolutely would, running around trying to deny our free speech while claiming they are "anti" fascist... When the Ritalin and adderall begin to wear off and they can have a civil conversation... then maybe I'll take them out of my sight picture.

      * Heb 9: 27
      * And as it IS appointed unto men once to die, but after this the JUDGEMENT. Yes YOU WILL BE JUDGED by a God that hates sin.

      * Revelation 21: 8
      * But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
      * Romans 5: 8
      * But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

      * That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

      * Jesus said John 5: 24
      * Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
      * 1John 5: 10-13
      * He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
      * And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
      * He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
      * These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
      * Ephesians 2: 8-9
      * For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
      * Not of works, lest any man should boast.
      * Romans 8: 1
      * There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
      * 1 Corinthians 15: 3-4
      * For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
      * And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
      * 2 Corinthians 5: 21
      * For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him
      *
      Repent, trust Jesus, & live Holy

    I wouldn’t be surprised if his experience with guns realistically ends at a BB gun. The pellet gun probably had too much power for him.

    Being gentle and respectful and having facts to back up an argument or dispute goes a long long way! The minute you stiffen up and encroach on someone’s ideas or beliefs can shut them down and force them in the wrong direction almost instantly. Even if they’re not 💯 sure of their argument they will go defense and then you’ve lost them. Great job staying patient and persistent with facts and respect!! See it worked on this dude for a few minutes anyway. Now he’s the largest gun owner of semiautomatics in Virginia! Hahahhaha

    "I think that if every body was just nice and gentle then we wouldnt need guns" umm yeah but let's not operate on wishful thinking and hypothetical. The world is a cruel and violent place.

    Someday the Devil may appear at your doorstep.
    Odds are he won’t.
    But, if and when he does show up it’s best to be prepared for worst case scenario instead of wishing in those last moments that you hadn’t been so shortsighted and passive.

    This whole protest is a perfect example of how an armed society is a polite society. No one is going to go cause trouble and try to hurt, rob, or rape people when almost everyone in that area is armed and perfectly capable of eliminating them as a threat....
