Thanks Mark, Looking forward to the "wormery" video. Brilliant video and tips off to try this out. Thanks for taking time making the video - Tight Lines.
Your timing is impeccable!!! I was only thinking earlier today about how I was going to collect worms for this early autumn since the sad demise of my (wooden) wormery..... cheers mark!!!!👍
i have a little garden and i add leaves, sawdust and basically anything that is laying around after i chop wood or do any work outside. it keep the ground wet and fertile. i had only pure clay before with absolutely no bugs insides. now i have beautiful black earth that is ample and fertile with plenty of worms. i get all my need for a 4hours fishing in a single shovel.
Brilliant video buddy and great for people to know, who don't like free bait lol. Another good tip is to put black plastic on top of the layers of wet cardboard which creates more moisture and prevents light getting through which keeps the worms higher too. I always use my used compost bags or grow bags cut in half. Yeah that worm juice from the wormery is the best plant feed ever, black gold. I bet it would add tons of natural attraction to groundbait mixes too (which I've never done, but will be now) have a great week and tight lines, best wishes and stay safe and well to you and your family buddy
Man... Fishing, worms and compost and vegetables and then a CAT... I just had to subscribe. Ticked all the boxes! Kidding. Just found your channel and it just seems great. 👍
Thanks for that Mark, for years I have been using the washing up liquid method but critically not washing them off which explains why when I catch a fish its always blowing bubbles!!! (and their not West Ham supporters either!)
nice one mark great idea for when the ground is baked dry and you can,t get worms leave a damp area and just pick them up nice one,,,,i use worms mainly for perch of course but carp as well on over fished carp lakes fished on the lead with two or three worms on,,, ,and on rivers for chub and bream ,,worm and maggot cocktail is good better still worm and floro pinkies ,i am fishing the avon at stratford on monday for roach dace perch and chub so will be taking worms as well as pinkies and maggots,,chopped worm on canals is deadly for big perch with a red worm and caster on the hook i use the caster just to keep the worm on barbless hooks ,well mark great tip look forward to seeing you on your next video with another adventure on the bank,,
Mark as usual brilliant information that a lot of others don't share. I will put this into practise in my little garden. love your videos and inspiration for fishing . tight lines fella, hope the family are safe and well.. tight lines,
Superb I will be bucket deep liquid gold in no time and wriggling gems for days, I brought a large tub of dendroaena for £7 and the tub I was storing them in fell over and the buggers escaped through the air holes I'd poked into the lid heart broken and the wife was happy too, I now live in the shed hoping theyll come home one day its dark and lonely down here lol love the channel keep up the hreat content.
Brillant tip Mark i am going to try that with the cardboard behind one of my sheds as you well know worms are not cheap this way there are free thanks alot Mark.
Fresh worms during hot conditions , that's the benefit with your method Mark ive got to try this, thanks for the tip. All the best David. PS its a good method for keeping down the weeds in areas you want rid of them for planting out later too.
Very simple and efficient way of getting a few grubs for perching you get a thumbs up from me mark your a top guy and your passion for fishing shines thru really enjoy your fishing escapade vids on the bank keep them coming buddy 🎣👌👍
Great thanks Mark I've started a dendrebaena wormery about a month ago but your way for getting lobs is fantastic and so simple although I'm sure my neighbours think I'm mad cardboard everywhere lol thank you.
One place I've found is really good for finding a few worms in a pinch is to check the road sides on more rural lanes near drains, if there's a bit of organic material built up it'll be full of dendras
Thanks for the info Mark , can’t wait for the full video on the wormery. I tried John of the “ fish locker” stomping technique but for me it wasn’t very productive. Great video.
Very easy going and sure 90% of anglers could copy this? Question if I may, is the dark fertiliser fluid any good as ground bait wetter, I always save the hemp and tare water, for this very reason. Thank you 👍
@@francolinobasco just made one .. but no idea if this will work .. just put it on my channel , if you get 5 , I’d like no what you think .. & if it will work .. Cheers buddy cheers Chris & Sam
Thanks mark for the tips on worms you have inspired me to take up fishing with a centerpin could you help me out and do a vlog on how to fill with line and cast out etc as I've never used one looking forward to your next vlog
Great video Mark. Now regretting all the cardboard that went in this week's recycling. No doubt there will be some more soon. I'm definitely on this one and looking forward to the wormery video. Keep up the good work.
Hi, don't waste that cardboard, just lay or layer it on any bare areas of the garden beds, if you don't like seeing cardboard then lay some soil on it as, it will help to stop the light which stops weeds and acts as a mulch.
i like the trident like "spades" when digging for worm.. but thats just me.. im afraid to cut them in half. often times using the spade im ofc cutting the biggest ones in half at least once.. hehe :/
When I dig for worms I use a small garden fork. I don't usually cut any in half that way. I'll be trying Mark's cardboard trick though. I have the perfect area to do it in.
Interesting video Mark and a good idea for when we don't have perfect amounts of rainfall and ideal torching conditions. Think Barry lost or missed the whole idea of the point ya was making though and his loss trying be a smart arse..
Peachy Creations 😄we all have a cross to bare . Any way my original comment to mark was tongue in cheek not to be smart . Personally I buy my lobs from a bloke in Sutton Coldfield .. stuff going out in the dark and wet .. and risk arrest as a nut job 😀👍🏻
Yes not only do the life span of collected worms is compromised but also the area exposed to the detergents will become seriously prone to bio depletion How often can you harvest a given area under cardboard..? Cats love cardboard boxes...it it a breed of feline?
Great video Mark . Definitely beats crawling around the cricket pitch of a dark , damp night . Sure the neighbours will appreciate it too 😂
Yeah but Man U can find some big lobs if u get a good area!!

I love your cat.

good tips mark, as a young angler i sometimes can’t get to the nearest angling direct for bait so these tips really help!
Other angling shops available...
ilovejimrogers i’m saying near me, none of them are too close, my local one closed down but there is an angling direct but it’s driving distance.
What a top worm vid ! Really helpful.... will save my back! Thanks amigo! 😎👍🏻
Can’t for the next one. Was thinking about storing them? How long can you keep them in a pot? Should you feed the? Add moss etc.
Just the job mate this will save me a fortune!! Thanks again
Awesome buddy .. was thinking of making one .. cheers Chris & Sam
It is well worth it, worms are not cheap!

Brilliant thanks for this 👍🏻
My pleasure!
Great video mark, great information, thank you! :)
Very useful cardboard method, thanks Mark. Roughly how long does it take for the worms to arrive plz ?
so close to 10k keep them coming mate

@@MidlandAngler you have a fascination with being a smart arse but also tongues in peoples arses. Go and mug some West Brom fans ya big bufty.

I forgot to also say that Elvis is very handsome Mark. I used to have a tabby called Tobi, he was a beautiful cat.
Just like to add to my comment below with a question when you have come back from fishing do you put any left over worms back under the cardboard ?
I collect them from the shop :(. it's 3 euros the plastic box, like 10 canadian worms, or 2 euros for 30 small dirt worms.
Yes not only do the life span of collected worms is compromised but also the area exposed to the detergents will become seriously prone to bio depletion

£12.99 for pack of lobs robbery I’ll definitely be trying this 😝👍🏻
