Ive seen one ( i just cant remember who ) but she overpacked and i remember her saying she only used half of what she took but still felt good with the options she took ... I did a hospital bag video too and literly only took a small backpack of items and still didnt use it all
Im a first time mom of a boy which is 15 months. I not only packed my hospital bag but a diaper bag full of stuff for him when i went to have him and added stuff to my bag as well. I hardly used any of it but i felt like it was better safe than sorry and i ended up being induced early bc if loss of fluid so i felt so unprepared bc i was rushed over to L&D. Currently packing for a 2 day 1 night trip and ive got a list that will fill up 2 duffle bags.

I have an odd question that I thought about at the beginning of this video. Would you be willing to do a video about how each c section was different for you? Pain wise, healing times, and when your feeling came back? I am a c-section momma and I am so scared about the next c section being more difficult because I have already had one. Wrapping the bow around the swaddle is GENIUS!!!! Keeps it rolled up while packed, easier to describe to your man, and really just a saved step... not at all controlling. #yourock
I worked in healthcare for Public Health (not a nurse, but a health assistant) where we see all of our (small) city's babies (and their momma's) from birth to preschool age. I remember the first time I heard that too and It surprised me... I don't know why because it DOES make sense - the uterus still needs to empty! It's not like they vacuum you out while they are in there, lol. I guess I just never thought about it before since I had vaginal births. A woman's body truly is amazing!
@@heatherd.9390 they do clean out the uterus during a csection, but there is an open wound where the placenta was so there is still blood loss etc as the body heals, just like with a vaginal birth
I had c-sections with both of my daughters and always wondered why they couldn't just suck all that out while they're in there lol. It would be super convenient, but the nurses told me it's partially due to the uterus still having to contract back down to the original size and whatnot so alot of it still has to come out the natural way. I was surprised at how much bleeding there is after c-sections. Can't imagine with a natural birth because I still bled for a solid month

We did the gift bags for the kids. They loved them. It made them feel like they weren’t left out and that this tiny human wasn’t coming to take all the attention. I highly recommend it!❤️☺️

My sisters doula, told her not to use peppermint oil! Because it's actually very unsafe for children. Unless it's at a certain percentage of dilution. Not trying to cause any problems or be a know it all! But I would definitely research it a bit more. 😊
When My mom gave birth to me in 91 she brought her Louis duffle too. I wish I still had it to sue with mine in june of this year. I recommend never getting rid of it! It's a beautiful bag and thank you for posting! :)
I had natural births, no drugs so I took a shower as soon as I got back to my room. It made me feel so good. I feel so grateful not to have had any C-sections with my 4 children. My girlfriends that had them, said it was very painful. You can do what ever you want. You took very good care of your baby for 9 months, so you are allowed to be specific as to what you want your baby to wear. You GOT this, don't let anyone dull your sparkle!

Be prepared. If they have emergency births or people who walked in already dilated they may move your induction a day or two. I was scheduled for a c section and they called me a few hours before saying I wouldn’t be able to come in because they didn’t have any beds and wouldn’t for two more days. Luckily I was called the next day and had my surgery. But I was all packed, ready to walk out and the door and BAM. Very annoying. Good luck momma!
I love watching videos from mothers that are not judgmental or acting like they know more or are better than others. She explains what she likes and what works for her while also saying that nothing any mom does is wrong. Especially the makeup part. Really refreshing to see
I'm so jealous of how much the hospitals provide in the USA. In Ontario you get a handshake or thumbs up at best 😂 they give one swaddle which you're supposed to return (but no one does) and that's it! I really should be starting my list soon... Love the LV too girlfriend.... #GetIt

Been so pumped for an upload all day! Spent my afternoon re-watching old OKBaby videos from Alaya and Buggy’s birth and to even before then. Can’t believe it’s been that long! Sad to see that all the comments are gone though.
Kbaby just make sure to not use a wubanub after the baby is 6 months old. It clearly states on the package they are for infants up to 6 months . Some moms keep giving those things to their babies as they get older and they get what’s called paci mouth. I can’t wait to see your new baby such an exciting time :)

This was honestly so helpful even though I’m not pregnant lol ! I’ve had scoliosis surgery and also have spinal bifida, which means I’ll only ever have c sections when I do have children! It was nice to hear what you use and have to say about everything because most usually focus on natural births.
LOL :) Yep - I'm the same way. I've packed a few outfit options and bows/swaddles etc in ziplock bags so they're grouped hahaha not long now!! We are due around the same time as you so it's been fun to follow your pregnancy!
The first hospital I gave birth at had everything. We moved between the first and second baby. The second hospital had very minimal things, so it's important that when you do the hospital tour to ask about what they supply and don't supply.

I was very specific about everything and completely overpacked and was over prepared with my third baby as also. I figured after having 2, one of which I was a teen Mom, I deserved to be picky and get all the things I wasn’t able to get with my other pregnancies. We were in better financial situation with my third so I could afford to splurge a little on all the little extras that just wasn’t a option with my other pregnancies and got to be a little pickier 😃

Hey girl! I read that for C-section mamas, gas medicine helps! Since you’re cut open and air gets all in your tummy and my sister couldn’t leave the hospital until she passed gas (tmi whatever). But I thought that was such a good idea to make mama more comfortable
With my last baby I did a gift basket for the nurses in the labor and delivery with like snacks because I know their job is also super hard beside the fact that they are helping with bringing your new baby into this world safely. Just my way of being thankful 😊
I work in a hospital, we make patients put on socks so they don't slip they have the hard stuff on them to help u not slip. U can where ur socks under the hospital once or u can bring shoes that won't make u slip.

Ive been in post partum from a nurses prospective and seen the aftercare and its recommended to wear white underwear so there is no dyes from the coloured underwear and any fuzzy pieces sticking to any leftover tape near your incision especially after staples are removed :) but being on your third i'm sure you know what works best for you afterwards :) (i'm also from Canada) Love your videos!!

I always call myself the “just in case mom” so I’m definitely an over packer too! I’m like I’ll bring this ‘just in case” this happens or “just in case” we’ll need it. I’m 33 weeks (due date is May 2) and started adding stuff to my bag and it just keeps getting turned into a bigger bag lol. This is my second one so I’m gonna pack a “hubby hospital bag” because they don’t provide the dad anything just us moms which will probably be the only thing different this time around. I'm not sure if you've checked her out but Jessica Braun, she is a beauty/lifestyle/travel channel, but she had her baby just last summer and showed her and baby bags so if you are still interested in finding out what all she took to the hospital, and she even did a video afterwards saying what she would take again and not take again for baby number 2. I had a v birth and did not need any creams or coolants etc at all. Just pads the hospital provided and depends were way better than pads at home..didn’t have to worry about any leaks.
My daughter had the same owl wub a nub and she loved it immediately! And when it got dirty, we just threw it in the washing machine and then washed the bink part afterwards with regular soap
Dang right you get to be more particular this time about what you want!! I was the same way with my third boy. The first two I was younger (22, and 24), but when I had my third at 29, I was so much more picky about everything, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
I honestly wore those during my pregnancy. My son was born at 44 weeks at 11lbs 6oz, so I definitely needed the extra belly support because the belts weren't helping any. I ended up wearing those after my C-Section as well.
Girl you are not being crazy at all! You have been excited n waited all this time for your precious new baby! We spend the pregnancy visioning dressing them up etc. It's completely normal n it makes sense to me to organize it for Oscar I've had 2 c sections one was twins n I could barely sit up I couldn't pick my babies up out of the hospital crib! I get it n yes those support bands n underwear are a MUST HAVE! I felt like my insides were falling out literally every time I sat or stood up! My cousin gave birth to a baby boy 8 months ago and gave her first three a gift each from baby. And it was so sweet, I think it definitely helps especially if they are little and pretty possessive of their parents and you are worried they won't adjust as easily. 😊🌼

I made a bigsister gift bag i gave it to my oldest the day she went to meet her baby sister a lot from dollar store .. Im prego with #3 aswell im deff going to pack a bit more than last time some cute items and take more pictures
I was way over packed. I had 5 out fits for me and 5 for my daughter but i used all of them and my husband had to bring me a new out fit to wear home. My daughter would projectile vomit every time she nursed. So girl you never know what you need.

Honestly, the second time around isn’t as bad as you think. It’s actually way easier because you already know what to expect.

Peppermint for nausea is a must! it's amazing!!! Just be careful after baby is here, it can decrease milk supply. ❤️

the difference is that they have to pay so much for insurance for having a baby.
Coop Fam In the US it costs at least $10,000 just to give birth, I would hope they provide everything for that price.

Hey girl! I read that for C-section mamas, gas medicine helps! Since you’re cut open and air gets all in your tummy and my sister couldn’t leave the hospital until she passed gas (tmi whatever). But I thought that was such a good idea to make mama more comfortable

With my last baby I did a gift basket for the nurses in the labor and delivery with like snacks because I know their job is also super hard beside the fact that they are helping with bringing your new baby into this world safely. Just my way of being thankful 😊

I work in a hospital, we make patients put on socks so they don't slip they have the hard stuff on them to help u not slip. U can where ur socks under the hospital once or u can bring shoes that won't make u slip.

Ive been in post partum from a nurses prospective and seen the aftercare and its recommended to wear white underwear so there is no dyes from the coloured underwear and any fuzzy pieces sticking to any leftover tape near your incision especially after staples are removed :) but being on your third i'm sure you know what works best for you afterwards :) (i'm also from Canada) Love your videos!!

I always call myself the “just in case mom” so I’m definitely an over packer too! I’m like I’ll bring this ‘just in case” this happens or “just in case” we’ll need it. I’m 33 weeks (due date is May 2) and started adding stuff to my bag and it just keeps getting turned into a bigger bag lol. This is my second one so I’m gonna pack a “hubby hospital bag” because they don’t provide the dad anything just us moms which will probably be the only thing different this time around. But I loved this video, you gave me a few more ideas of what to bring! So thanks girllll. 😊
I'm not sure if you've checked her out but Jessica Braun, she is a beauty/lifestyle/travel channel, but she had her baby just last summer and showed her and baby bags so if you are still interested in finding out what all she took to the hospital, and she even did a video afterwards saying what she would take again and not take again for baby number 2. Congratulations on the growing family as well.

I had a v birth and did not need any creams or coolants etc at all. Just pads the hospital provided and depends were way better than pads at home..didn’t have to worry about any leaks.

My daughter had the same owl wub a nub and she loved it immediately! And when it got dirty, we just threw it in the washing machine and then washed the bink part afterwards with regular soap

Dang right you get to be more particular this time about what you want!! I was the same way with my third boy. The first two I was younger (22, and 24), but when I had my third at 29, I was so much more picky about everything, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
I honestly wore those during my pregnancy. My son was born at 44 weeks at 11lbs 6oz, so I definitely needed the extra belly support because the belts weren't helping any. I ended up wearing those after my C-Section as well.
Girl you are not being crazy at all! You have been excited n waited all this time for your precious new baby! We spend the pregnancy visioning dressing them up etc. It's completely normal n it makes sense to me to organize it for Oscar I've had 2 c sections one was twins n I could barely sit up I couldn't pick my babies up out of the hospital crib! I get it n yes those support bands n underwear are a MUST HAVE! I felt like my insides were falling out literally every time I sat or stood up! Anyways you are not being crazy n im so excited to see baby girl!!

My cousin gave birth to a baby boy 8 months ago and gave her first three a gift each from baby. And it was so sweet, I think it definitely helps especially if they are little and pretty possessive of their parents and you are worried they won't adjust as easily. 😊🌼

I was way over packed. I had 5 out fits for me and 5 for my daughter but i used all of them and my husband had to bring me a new out fit to wear home. My daughter would projectile vomit every time she nursed. So girl you never know what you need.
