What I have noticed about these vlogs is that although they are showing their children online they are not shoving a camera in their children’s faces, and if they go out of camera shot they do not follow with the camera, it gives a nice balance of letting us see into their family without being intrusive xx
I love how alfie makes shure to show how impressed he is with zoe’s baking, even when she tries to brush it off he’s like “this is amazing what the hell”
When she mentioned about the big surprise gift…. I was nearly in tears…. Joe’s reaction, everyone goes did quiet. Zoe giggles and nanny just kisses her on the check.
As someone who also grew up calling my grandparents by distinguishing them by their dogs hearing “nanny hector” and “nanny buzzy” is so nostalgic to me!
As an early childhood educator, it’s clear Ottie’s language and curious nature is a testament to your parenting! You’re so patient and take your time to explain everything to Ottie. It struck me when you asked her which was the sugar rather than telling her. Such simple tools but encourage her learning so much!

I'm deceased 😂 Why was that just the absolute sweetest, funniest thing I'll ever see? 😭 I'm so glad you caught that on camera for you to watch back when she's an adult. It's not that she forgot, it was the immediate remembering and self-correcting that was just so pure and endearing. And hilarious 😅 She really wanted to help surprise Nanny and did her absolute best 🥹 I can just imagine her little (almost) 3 year old brain did everything she could on the way to Nanny Hector's house to remember to say 'present' NOT 'bike', but with all the distraction and hype of arriving and talking to Nanny on her birthday, she wasn't prepared for the moment and didn't have time to remember/practise again in her head when it was suddenly go-time 😅🥹 (which tbh, I can totally relate to at age 30 with ADHD and just the worst short-term memory ever 😂)

That was a fab video. My sponge cakes always rise in the middle, how do you keep them flat. Ottie and Novie are so natural on camera. Loved seeing your Mum’s garden. It tickles me seeing your Mum in flat shoes, she’s such a high heel lady unless she’s running in her trainers 😂 The Birthday Bike present suits her. I absolutely love that although Ottie is apprehensive about cracking the eggs you encourage her anyway & this way she learns & discovers she can do it. Amazing parenting 👏🏼 but how cute that she’s concerned about getting shell in 🥹 it happens to the best of us Ottie 🧡💖
I do believe kids should always have a little kids table. We would have to buy a new one every year because they would eventually destroy them especially my son but they would eat at it, do their crafts on them and I never worried if they were getting paint on the table or anything of the sort. They were a stress free zone. We also had a large closet under our stairs, I turned it into a secret reading room. With those kids reclining chairs, I built bookcases and a large beanbag. We would go in there and read stories. I eventually painted a mural on the wall that had glow in the dark mushrooms and all that stuff it was really really adorable and let me tell you those kids loved it. My kids are your age and they still talk about their little secret reading room.🍄

they talked about this in a vid already (in vlogust)! i dont think their wax figures are there anymore, they change them quite often.
