You could just tie a couple flies that resembles the grass that way you don't have to keep re baiting. I'm sure it would word just as well

Catfishing cant and never will be redundant to me. 26 years ago when I was 8 years old, i caught a massive trophy channel cat. Been hooked ever since, and still catfish weekly from spring to fall. Sometimes 1 time a week sometimes 4 times a week. So I love and appreciate the catfish videos.

Tip to catch Shad, just put a big weight below your hook, cast it out and reel fast and you’ll catch tons of shad

I was inspired by all the times I’ve watched you go catfishing, so I went out to my local mud puddle today and caught my first ever kitty! He was a skinny little channel cat, about as big as my forearm. I’m still really new to fishing and I think I’m definitely hooked now haha
There is something about this channel that just hits different than any other angler channel. 10/10 would smash
The way we catch shad in the mouth is a sabiki bait rig theyre usually used in saltwater around here but they work great on shad.
Cut a tiny piece of your stash off , put that on the hook. See if they'll bite that lol

Should of put one of the smaller chads on a 10/0 hook live. Ive used carp and bullheads that size for flatheads before. I got my eye on the 56 lb record here in PA. Love your vids

@PigPatrolTV smoke em! Throw them in a gallon ziploc and fill with water, add a 1/4 or 1/3 cup non iodine salt, 1/3 cup brown sugar, Worchesshir sauce, or whatever you like to add, and brine overnight. Smoke with apple wood at 200° for a couple hours 👌

Last night i caught a decent Channel Cat on Shrimp! Had more strikes, but didn't land any others. Not sure what other species were striking, and many were hitting on Powerbait Trout (chartreuse). Great video! Peace out 'Stache Thumpers...

There must be a way to catch Asian and Bighead carp using this method! You might want a little bigger hook and a heavy fluorocarbon leader, but it would be fun as hell.

Another awesome vid!!!! HEY!!!!!!! I would recommend a serrated knife if your just using it to cut them in pieces and not using it as a fillet knife. That way you don't have to keep sharpening it cause you do cut them shad on some sketchy surfaces lol

Hey do you have any recommendations of good fishing lakes/spillways/rivers in eastern Nebraska. We usually fish in Western Nebraska but it pretty far from here in Kansas. Dont care about the species necessarily, mainly catfish, and if anybody else could help that would be great!
Stache Monkey. I will be trying the moss/grass/weed soon. Our city park has a small lake. Although, it does have decent cats in it most of us use it as a bait pond. Then we go to the Guadalupe River and fish for the big cats. Good content, good humor, and good luck to Boo in her business venture.

Moss an Shad...that is just crazy the first time I saw u catch them on it...I use Zote soap for catfish when nothing else wrks...those channel kittys will eat just about anything...the cool thing is u can clean ur hands rigjt afier resetting ur hook

Try a sabiki rig for the shad it's how I catch blue back herring. Dont why they wouldnt bite it especially since you've caught em on grass.

Send me some schads. We get Hickory Shad in the spring runs that are an absolute blast and like I said before we sometimes catch them on corn as by catch carp fishing but other than that it’s all cast net and finding them can be a trick sometimes. Though I was with a commercial guy once and we were getting HUGE Gizzards in his nets. No joke shad that had to be pushing 3-4 lbs!
