Hi Steven great video mate keep it up. I will try Neural Amp Modeler. I had trouble with the Amplitude 5 managed to set the download but for some reason it's not downloading into the Product Manager and I've back and forth with ik multimedia as they are being very helpful. Could be my firewall or antivirus etc or something about permissions, it's all sounding too hard for me. Thinking of taking my laptop to a computer IT guy from where purchased it, hopefully maybe get it sorted, but might not have to now as these cloud based sims a bit tricky for me. But will like to try that Neural Modeler. Thanks for sharing 🙏😊👍🎷🥁🎹
Yeah I have no idea about Amplitube 5 and ToneX, unfortunately. Someone left a comment suggesting I try something out with Windows, but I have not gotten around to it and will have to dig for the information. Fortunately, I do not miss those products. They are great, but everything else works for me and in the end, they will all pretty much sound the same 👍
What guitar plugin would you recommend for those just wanting a warm crunch sound for straight ahead pop music & the like? Many thanks for your replies.
Tonocracy is probably the most valuable here. Over a dozen amps built in with great tones. You can also add NAM amp profiles if you don't find what you need in there. If you want something simpler I'd probably check out Roots since it is straight forward and just dial the gain back
hi the neural amp sounds really great unfortunately for me once I meddled with the driver and buffer it crashed and I was never able to get it to work after that, win 11 btw chears
i'm using a cheap amp , if i buy rumble 40, it's more or less £270, if i use amp sim , i spend £110 for an audio interface and do i need a better speaker , and those 2 things run into same prices as rumble 40? I am very new to this, i really want to know. Thank you. 😊
If you are playing live, I'd go with the amp. If you are making music by yourself I'd go with the interface. I used headphones most of the time with amp sims. If you don't want to use headphones, I'd recommend getting a pair of monitors along with the interface. Amps are usually mid range focused so you will not get a clean mix if you run the interface to the amp. Good luck 👍
@@stevenkambach I really appreciate your quick reply and the clarity of your response. Of course, I'm considering what to buy within my limited budget, but I believe that eventually everyone will have the interface, a new amp, a headphone and speakers.👍👍👍😍
I have no problem with Tonex and Amplitube with Reaper at all, I'm guessing you may have another plugin in your VST that's causing the problem. Thanks for these shout outs.
I have a comment saved that I need to try. They had issues with those programs and One Drive not playing nicely with each other. I think they said that Microsoft sees them as virus and shuts them down or something like that. On my list of things to do, but not a priority. I don't miss them
Hot take, but the guitar is probably the least important part. As long as it has a humbucker, stays in tune and is intonated well, nobody will be able to tell the difference, especially when we are talking about distorted guitars 🎸
@@typicalguitaristdoes the cable actually matter? Im asking seriously, because there are so many people making fun of insignificance of guitar gear that it’s actually hard to tell..
To an extent this is true, however I find it a lot easier and more enjoyable to pick up a more expensive higher quality instrument, leading to a seemingly easier playing experience
Well, English is a terrible language and my use of the English language does not make it any better 🤣 I'd recommend looking up specific words that you don't understand. There are several specialty words that go with recording
@VerebelyiSandor it can't hurt! I used to know people who tries to learn Japanese by watching anime in Japanese with English subtitles but I don't know how successful they were at learning a new language 🤣
6:45 Ahahah, I can't believe someone modeled the Laney TF300! I got it for my 18th birthday in 2000
Nice stuff! I think you missed Ignite Emmissary + NadIR.. That one is a great though
Yes! That is a good one. I didn't use emissary much but I use NadIR all the time ♥️
yes that is very good and free. Ignite amp really rock
Nam for the win !!!
NAM 🏆
Ty very much.
Can't wait to put hands on my guitar to test these recommendations \m/
You just grabbed the best in the bunch ....I've tried any new possible stuff in that range and I did come to the very same conclusion. Well done.
Thank you 🙏
I’m thinking about getting the ML sound lab roots! I have the free ML sound lab DJENTGOD plug-in that’s another amazing amp sim!
That is a good one too! Not sure if they still have that one available. Roots is great 👍
@@stevenkambach It is still available 👍

Dang! Sorry to hear that 🙏
Cool video great collection
Thank you 🙏
by far NAM the best.
Correct opinion 🏆
if i am right you have rg270 whale tail eddie van halen model FR ibanez...???????
Nope. Lyon By Washburn LR-6 👍
What windows version are all of them? Thanks in advance
I'm using 10, I think. You can check the minimum requirements on each download page
nearly all of these ask u to use a license and if you dont, itll cut off signal every two minutes. really sucks bc i love how they sound too
That is only in Amp Locker if you deviate from the Prestige amp. Everything else is free.
@ gotcha, thank you! ill try it out

6:31 Laney LV300
Thank you ❤️
What Tonacracy is tottaly free now? 😱😱
Yes! They changed that when they released Version 2.1.1 go get it!
dude where did you get that ir from
It is from Cabs Of Chaos Vol 1 by AugustRose Audio! augustroseaudio.com/products/cabs-of-chaos-vol-1
which ir is it from that pack it sounds crazy clear
@@stevenkambach
NAM, NAM and some more NAM please!❤❤
what's an 'ir'?
IR = Impulse Respone. Think of it as the digital representation of cab and mic part of the chain
is it possible to use it whithout reaper?
Most of them have a standalone plugin I think
The blue cat amp sims pack is free and very good.
I'll have to revisit those! I didn't like them, but it has been some years since I've tried them
Hot tip. Get rid of the dodgy focus for a higher quality edit my guy
Sorry!
@@stevenkambach Don't be sorry.. be better.
@@IceBreakBottle thanks, dad 👍
is just me or with this you can just get a cheap jackson guitar and you are in biz.. no need for expensive guitars and stuff???

An Ibanez Gio series will work fine too. Get a good cable tho.

Tbh I thought they all sounded like sh1t.
Amp sims havent really changed in 10 years. Revalver 4 has the same if not better tones.
You do you ❤️
