15:35 for those who want to know some more, ellipses can be drawn a rope and two sticks like how it was hanging in the Badeni scene with the necklace. this is because ellipses(and not all ovals those are different mathematically) are ovals where the distances from those 2 points are conserved. So badeni realized that it could be at least an ellipse since the necklace would when pulled around in a circular manner would trace an ellipse. for those who want to read more about it, heres the wiki page and there are a few math videos on youtube describing the physics of it and why it's an ellipse. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ellipse
I may read to much in it but I felt like Badeni's thinking about the average people not needing to learn how to read or write was a small jab thrown at our modern time. Sure Badeni being our favorite A-hole present things in an extreme and harsh way, but to some exctend we can see where he is coming from. Else now it's a certitude that Badeni and Oczy will get caught by the inquisition. The question is what will get them caught: -Kolbe learning about Yolenta meeting with Piast before his passing so he become petty and search around to bring her down? -Oczy's writing being found by someone until it reach the Church? -The priest Badeni had be rude to, that link Piast's last writings to Badeni's work? -Maybe a mix of everything?
Since the original Japanese title of this episode, "知" (Knowledge), matches the title of the anime/manga itself, it is no wonder that this episode highlights key moments that define the overarching narrative. The original Japanese title of this show is "チ。-地球の運動についてー" (Chi -- On the Movement of the Earth). The "Chi" here can be 知 (knowledge), 地 (the earth) or 血 (blood) -- all three kanji can be read as "chi".
Netflix's translation is bad. How can they translate "Chi" as Truth? "Chi" is obviously "Knowledge" here. Truth in Japanese doesn't pronounce like that. For a show like Orb, the accuracy of translation is so crucial.
@@ElenaInStardew The problem is the English title, Orb. The original title チ。 (chi.) is open to interpretations such as 知 (chi/knowledge), 地 (chi/the earth), and 血 (chi/blood). Ep.10 is named after one of the interpretations, suggesting that later episodes may be titled 地 (chi/earth) and/or 血 (chi/blood).
My guess is that Novak will catch Jolenta teaching Oczy how to write and read or something that is hinting towards that. Since Novak knows Oczy's face.
@@ElenaInStardew Oh yeah, I rewatched it. But I feel Oczy will likely encounter Novak before he finds out who he is, Oczy would most likely panic and Novak may find it suspicious. Perhaps he remembers his voice and recognizes his body build.

Actually, Novak doesn't know his face. If you remember, Oczy didn't take off his mask when confronting Novak.
