Another awesome video!!! I have one of those buoys... I take it as a sign... let me come along next time ;-) LOL Who knew that by finding new beaches with you I'd be learning so much about the area too. Thank you❣
Near Little Pond. , near Florence is a beach off the Little Pond Road, The access road to the beach is called Beachside road. Wondering if you heard about this one
@@CapeBretonBeachLife not really . Several years ago a ship was caught on a sand bar just off the beach .Took a few days and a few tries to free it. Made the local news
This would be an exceptional bech if not for the raw sewer running into it. When you come to the bottom of cable street, look out about 50', you will see it bubbling up in three spots from the broken pipe under the water. I live five minutes from Lockmans and have been in the water once!! Its terrible that we allow this to happen today.
Thanks for your comment, I actually plan on doing an in depth video later this winter about the health of the Sydney Harbour and the progress that is slowly being made. And the work that remains to be done.
@CapeBretonBeachLife Hey, there is a military fortification visible to your right. You can't get out to it any longer as erosion has made it almost impossible to get there. Florence, Alder Point, and Point Aconi are to the left. You can also see the highlands and Cape Smokey. There are plenty of reefs that hide lots of sea creatures. Especially during low tide. Be on the lookout for fossils as well. You can have a beach fire with no concerns, as long as the wind is blowing the right way. Some years we get lots of seaweed, making it not so nice. This year has been exceptionally good in that sense. Lol, I should be quiet as it's rather unknown, but lately, I have seen an increase in usage.
5 minute walk through the woods from my childhood home ❤
Nice! I was back there not long ago.
So close to home! Take me with you next time 😊
Deal! :)
Love these videos! Keep up the good work showing them off 😁
@HarveyHannem if you liked this one, then you’ll probably enjoy the history segment in my Polar Bear Beach video:)
@CapeBretonBeachLife Yep watched that one too! I pride myself on being informed about local history but you're showing stuff I never knew!
@HarveyHannem I’m definitely learning lots!!

@CapeBretonBeachLife Will you be doing Cranberry Beach? Some neat stuff there as well.
Cranberry Beach, no, I haven’t been there yet. But I certainly will. Anything I should look out for in particular when I’m there?
