that music is following me since two years now , it was the first i listend while starting my reconversion into a web developer , i am finishing my studies in a few weeks from now on , so thanks for that upload , it helped me focus more times than i can count !
I always sing along the music while sitting in base, has a really nice flow and really tells a story about city 31, it's ups and downs, there is hope but it won't be easy, also love the Deus Ex vibes right at the end of the track. It's always a good sign when music gives me goosebumbs, really athmospheric and very fitting for a base theme.
The music is amazing and i aint even got the game but i do love x-com 2 music. Listen to act 1, 2 and 3 of this masterpiece of music and try to tell me which one is better? Its hard. The composer is a fucking genius tbh!
They act like different emotional states, the first one sounds like the struggle of the last leg of the resistance, this one sounds like when they convince those who have given up to join in and now it’s gotten critical to strategize for maximum efficiency and minimum casualties and the third one represents the resistance nearing the end of the alien forces and victory is at hand.
Yea. Act 1 sounds like "I have questions", this escalates to "we're getting some answers, but also crap, things are heating up out there", and Act 3 is like "Things are bad and this city is about to rip itself apart, we gotta finish this NOW!".
