I KNEW the music in HQ sounded different. Had to look this up to make sure I wasn't going crazy, really good addition to the game to make you feel like you're making progress
Progress and threat. Chimera Squad did one thing much more right than all other XCOM titles, including the old ones: it's impossible to stabilize the Geoscape (or Cityscape, I guess) and just set a comfort zone. It gets harder and harder and harder to control unrest and keep anarchy from rising, it forces the player to push ahead and finish the investigations the squad was called in to perform. With the side-bonus that Shrike is impactful in the player's mind. They are not stupid and they are not clowning around.
@@chickendrawsdogs3343 Better for her not to be chewing bubblegum, anyway. Wouldn't want her to mix up which thing she's supposed to be spitting at enemies.
The threats are being stopped, but the investigations are yielding none of the originally intended results. No answers have come forth. The city is getting more and more agitated by the day, and fighting the anarchy is only stalling for time. Chimera Squad. You've got the experience, you've got the equipment, and you've got leads to follow. Let's get to work.
Absolutely beautiful, especially when the cello starts playing.
agreed, cellos always win me over

They've been doing that since Enemy Unknown when major milestones changed the HQ music.

This song only plays when your team is ready to kick ass and chew bubblegum.
Except for Torque, she has no legs to kick or teeth to chew with. Oh well, put the squeeze on.

And you're all out of bubblegum.
Just remember to not give any gum to Verge. Can't risk an allergic reaction.
Havent touched Chimera, but I love that 'focused' tone this one plays.
just one last hurdle to the truth

In the game of Chimera Squad, you win, or you bleed out a bit and have to do a bit of training. Excellent Thrones cello drop!
only the BEST track in the game... BRING IT ON!
