I didn’t think much of the take in the moment, was just like “good take, Harper.” But seeing it over again…. Yeah, amazed that Harper didn’t even flinch. Dude is unreal.

Hope they can keep their hot streak going. Anybody who truly knows Baseball knows that it's a sport of streaks & droughts more so than any other. And the Phillies caught the hot streak at exactly the right time, but unfortunately anyone who knows about baseball streaks knows that in order to keep the streak going u have to keep playing every day. Any breaks or games missed due to injury always wind up breaking the hot streak. Countless times of teams getting hot right before all star break only to lose it after. Or a hitter going on a hot streak then has to sit a few days for a sprained knee and boom! All of a sudden the player couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat.
So this long pause between series is gonna be a real test to see if the 2022 Phillies are a real league Championship contending unit, or just a team that "caught lightning in a bottle" aka, playing on a hot streak in the streakiest game ever invented, which is baseball.

    • @sneersh9107

@@flaccidego4291 I don't think 4 days resting will be good for them but I wouldn't be surprised if their bats are still very hot, I think the bigger threat is how elite the Astros pitching is. The Astros offense has to sit the same amount of time so it evens out offensively, Altuve and Yordan were just starting to hit in the last game of the ALCS and now they have to sit too. I don't think this rest period will hurt either team more than the other. But the Phillies are gonna have to stay hot if they want to have any chance against the Astros pitching staff.
