Press exit and it should allow you to make changes as long as the drive itself is in stop mode
Is there a way to add reverse rotation to the soft keys? My old drive was able to switch motor direction. the new HVAC does not seem to have that option? Thanks
Yes I believe their may me. There is a direction button on some of them already Depending on the firmware and macros for the particular drive.

Thanks for the information. I uploaded to the panel from a working drive and downloaded it to the new one, but the unit wont run in Auto or Hand (when I press hand it just goes to OFF) and I am missing a lot of the Parameters that are there when I look at the working drives, any advice?
Make sure your enable contacts are closed on whatever you use to start the drive

Hey nice video, I've got a question, does this backup also saves parameters from a FENA-01 module, like IP's and that sort? I have a ACS355 driver and a FENA-01 module that its broken, I just want to change the fena module to another one but don't want to set and put every single parameters or addresses again.
It should save all of the option settings for the VFD.

+Sylvain Meunier If the motors and drives are identical you can. If you are using communication you will need to correct the network address.

Can you just connect the computer to the computer using modbus .. to read the A, V values displayed on the computer ... on the abb acs550?
If you have the correct connection cable and the correct software you can set them up on the computer.
Great Video. When i attempt to upoad parameters to panel I get Alarm A5020. Do you know if this is another internal protection.
Also, I am attempting this on the Basic Control Panel. It is controlling a fan blower on Atlas Copco dessicant dryer. Thanks.
+1612ydraw make sure that you press the stop button on the drive before uploading. That should be the only thing that would cause an error other than a problem with the drive

I retrieve data from a ABB vfd drive ACS850 to the panel and using that control panel I try to download to another drive which have same spec and function ( it's an standby drive) but I it's showing an error after all the download process over high limit and I have only option to select is ready when click ready It seems like ready ..but when I try to run I couldn't get the output running command is on..output is zero..I think it's an parameter issue..please help me to sort out this
Theres a difference in the firmware between the two drives even though they're both 550s. I've had that same issue. Your better off setting up the new drive from scratch
So which one saves to the drive and which one reads from the drive? I noticed you did upload two times and didn't see a download.
Upload saved the program to the panel and download loads the program into the drive itself.
Can you remove the panel with the drive running OR do you have to turn off the drive to prevent data loss? Thanks for the great video.

There's a lot of possibilities. Make sure it's set up properly in the drive for reverse operations

+Mohamed El Makkaouy you would need the abb software tool on your computer. You could then upload the parameters to your computer. Good luck.
i already installed the software, i dont know the reference of the cable that i should use to connect the control panel with my pc , i have a CDP312 control pannel of a ACS800 drive,

Sir I have a ACH 550 vfd. I use for condenser fan. My chiller panel giving demands 100% but my vfd run only on 60% I set vfd maximum 100% please help!!! Thanks for uploading video...
Check to see what your signal is. It will either be 0-10vdc or 4-20ma. There is a dip switch just above the terminals on your drive that must be set to match the type of signal.

Abb 550 drive massage display drive not responding what is the solution?
Cycle power. Make sure the panel is properly seated. If it is and the drive doesn't recover when you power it up, the control board is bad.
I get a message no start inhibit granted when I’m trying to copy the parameters. Please help.

Its transcript: Hey guys, in this video, I'm going to show you how to upload a parameter in an ABB VFD, as well as how to download those parameters. Well, it's a really good way if you have two motors that are identical sitting side by side, such as like pumps or cooling tower fans or that sort of thing. This is one way that will speed up a little bit of the setup if you are adding or replacing a drive that is identical to one that is already there. Also, I'm going to show you how to disable the override mode, which is something that we see in your drives, which as we all know is an ABB drive with a York or Johnson control sticker on it. Sometimes if you try to download and the parameters into your drive, what it will do is it will actually give you an error. So, I want to show you how to disable that override mode where you can download it. The first step in downloading a drive is you must press the off button; it will not let you upload or download a program if the drive is running. So, the first step is to press the off button, then simply hit the menu button go into parameters and scroll down to parameter backup. Once you go to the parameter backup, you select that and then select Upload to panel. And that will upload all of the parameters within the drive to the panel. I recommend you do this anytime you set up a drive. Anytime you are expecting to make changes that you're not sure if they're going to work or anytime that you make any adjustments to the drive’s operation, you want to back that up and save a copy. In case something happens if you have to change it now this stuff will work very well and speeding up the change out of the drive, you can simply then back out and once you back all the way out you press the auto button, and the drive should restart with no problem. Now if the override mode is enabled, you will get an error if you try to download some drives this is common with the orc drives as well as you know the Johnson control drives which there an ABB drive with a York or Johnson control sticker on them. And you can see here scroll into the menu to try to download the drive and I get an error you can see the error code here override mode is not allowed override mode enabled. So, we are going to show you how to disable that and it will not let you download it until you do so you go down in your menu to group 17 and 1701. I tried to go into there and gives me an error of course you once again. What we have to do before we can do that is we must scroll down and enter a password into group 1704. That password value is 358. And here I overshot it a little bit, so we scroll back down and run our numbers up to 358. And once we get those values set, I press the save button and it brings me back to this menu here I then scroll down to the next one and you can see here override mode is already off as I've already turned it off on this one once again you must hit the stop button before you can make any changes go in here you can see this is where you would turn the override mode on and off is currently off on this drive. This is after I had already turned it off and loaded the program. So, we go back into 1701 and then we set this to not selected. Once we have that done, we can simply back all the way out from this particular Menu Group. And once this is all disabled, we will then be able to go in to reload the parameters into this drive. Once again doing this is very helpful if you are changing out a drive you can see here once I press the Go back into the menu that I am able to download the drive with no issues whatsoever it simply once that's turned off and lets me download it with no problem. Once it's successful, you can just back all the way out and press your auto start and the drive will restart as normal. guys hope you liked the video hopefully that it is helpful to you.
