Love Scotland you were lucky with the weather 😊 best time of year to go too before those god damn midgies come out !! Great video that walk and the views wow!! Debs and Mark 😊
Thank you 🙏🏼 We went in a warm May once, never again! They were relentless!! We normally go mid winter but life got in the way this winter so, luckily managed to squeeze in a week before the beasts woke up 😁
We travelled down through Glencoe the Christmas before last and both said it was the most stunning drive we have been on. Great to see Jack mooching off the lead 😁💜x
Don't know why you haven't got more subscribers. Love your channel. Great video and stunning views. Might try Glencoe ski centre in a few weeks. Oh and Lurpack every time 😂
You were doing so well with your positive comment and you had to go ruin it with your poor butter recommendation! 😂 Thank you 🙏🏼 I don’t think TH-cams algorithm likes our varying video subjects, we also don’t do dramatic thumbnails or titles (because there’s no drama) and, we’re pretty unprofessional. We don’t do planning, several takes etc, we just take a camera and film our day. You just get to see what we get to see so, we’re unsuccessful but happy with what we’ve got 😁 Stick around for more random videos 😉👍🏼
Morning guys. Wow, great footage. If I'm honest, it wasn't a good idea to watch this vlog before I go to work this morning. The temptation to just chuck things in the van and bugger off somewhere is quite high at the moment. I'm with you on the Anchor butter debate Alan, as long as it's salted. But, I am afraid it is also Lurpak if I'm having sandwiches. Butter is for toast, baked spuds and cooking only. Jack is looking great off the lead. That'll put a few more miles in his legs. He still has that pensive look about him, as he gazes out from the van though. Thoughts are with Oscar on the anniversary that none of us want. Take care both. Hopefully see you soon... when this bloody house sale is sorted. 🤘
😄 sorry! We’re tempted to disappear again already!! Anchor AND lurpack?? You’re so posh. Jack is good off the lead until he picks up on a scent, which there are lots and he then just completely ignores us 😂 We’ll see you in May, have a great day in work 😉
Jack is doing brilliantly, unbelievable that it’s a year since you lost Oscar bless him. We absolutely love Scotland, being going there for forty plus years, will be back up 17th April. Enjoy the rest of your trip 😊
Lucky you! Just hope it’s not warm enough for the midges to wake up before your arrival 🤞🏼 Jack is certainly testing but he’s making excellent progress 😁
@@Professionalmoochers Alan where do you get your 907 cylinders from near your home? We are struggling to find any in stock, (we’re only about 12 miles from where you live) Cheers.
We got our last bottle from Halton gas in Widnes. He was really cheap too!! He doesn’t have a website that I know of but certainly worth ringing. Failing that, try go outdoors as they often have stock 👍🏼
Well worth the drive. Looks amazing, and hope we get similar weather when we head up that way after Easter weekend. Love watching your videos, don’t think Jack could have found better owners 👍
Thanks Kev! Every time we head up there, we have the conversation of “is it worth the 5+ hour drive” and then we get there! All doubts quickly gone 😍 Jack has certainly landed on his feet, he just forgets that sometimes 😉 As for lurpack, it definitely won’t be going in our fridge again 😄
Stayed at Glencoe for 15 years each easter at Invercoe campsite, Mr Browns place, with our Scout Mountaineering group. We used to camp there in tents. Fabulous site but i believe he doesnt allow tents/groups anymore. Also his prices are a little expensive now. Great site though. Climbed most of the mountains. We get our new motorhome in may and hope to go back. Will park up at the ski resort. Great video.
Yeh I think they’re focusing on holiday homes along with tourers as that’s where the money is I guess. Great location though 👌🏼 Thanks Eddie 🙏🏼 Ski resort is a great option… enjoy your new adventures.
Stunning drone footage and Jack looks like he’s settled with you 😊 Totally agree on the butter debate, in the house it’s always proper salted butter for us, but in the van we do use Lurpak spreadable. It seems to be the only thing that actually spreads straight from the fridge and doesn’t rip holes in your bread! 😂
Great vid lads Scotland is one of my fav places Good for your soul ❤ me n the hubby have been going up the road every July for over thirty years . Enjoy your trip n make lots of memories. Lovely to see Jack settling in with you he'll get it just give him time .Rip Oscar 💙🐾🌈 can't believe it's been a yr how time flies x
Thanks Deb! Definitely one of our favourites too, already planning a return trip. Yeh it’s gone really quick this last 12 months and Jack is a gem. He’s very testing but he is getting better each day 😁
Great video. I must try Invercoe but I do love Red Squirrel and it’s within walking distance of the Clachaig Inn 🙂 Loved your pronunciation of Ballachulish 😂
😄😄 my pronunciation of everything further than my own front door is awful! We normally only visit Scotland in deep winter so never considered red squirrel so may try it next time as the rear bar in the clachaig inn is our favourite 🤩
@@Professionalmoochers you can practice for next time…..it’s balla hool ish 🙂 I had a fabulous night at the Clachaig a few weeks ago, lovely food and a great live band. The lesson I learned was never wind in an awning in frosty weather as it start to unwind on the motorway on the way home 🫣
Lovely Vlog, some amazing scenery. Really appreciate all the effort you guys make for our enjoyment. There are so many places I want to go in Scotland. Found a site called Fidden Farm campsite on the isle of Mull. Looks amazing and can't wait to go there. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your Scotland Vlogs :).
Wow - really got the excitement levels up for us now as we head to Scotland for the first time at the start of May to do the W coast and Skye! Hope the next bit goes well and look forward to the next vlog
We’re jealous!! The west, including Skye is going to literally knock your socks off! There’s no substitute for seeing it with your own eyes. If you travel through Glencoe on the A82, which you probably will, don’t expect to make good progress as you’ll be stopping a lot to get out and soak it all in 😍 Have a great trip!!
Another great video guys, loving the scenery in Scotland. We just enjoyed a couple nights at Brotherswater, following your guidance, really enjoyed the place even though it poured down most the time! We're heading to Scotland NC500 in May, so any overnight camping spot recommendations would be appreciated, we like to wild camp (freestyle camp or what ever the correct phrase is nowadays!!) even if there's a parking fee so, please share any must go places. Heading into Europe in July, hoping to hit Croatia via the Alps, so will be going back over your past trips to get some tips. Keep on enjoying your travels, really inspires me, and look after Jack!
Thanks Jon!! Shame about your weather but hopefully you got to see how amazing that quiet corner of the Lake District is. We did the NC500 years ago in a car, before we had a van and before they announced the NC500 so we stayed in hostels. The route starts further north than we’ve stayed recently but you won’t find it hard to find park ups in the north, especially on the north and west coasts. The east is a little trickier and in our opinion, less interesting to our taste but beyond the east, it’s absolutely jaw dropping!! Make sure you download park4night app, there’ll be lots of recommendations on there. Have an amazing trip!! 😍
Can’t do lurpak either, m&s softest real butter in a carton, cheaper than the others too & no oil just proper butter! I remember that sunny day, we were up on Skye & I actually had face ache as I didn’t stop smiling all day 😂 Loved the drone footage & invercoe campsite is on the to do list. Is the range totally unlevel? I’m rubbish on the wonk 🤣 Really enjoyed you’re video & how fast are you at editing! Em 💜
Ooooo posh and cheap?? Have to try that out!! Invercoe is one of those unbeatable sites if the weather is on your side. The carpark is only slightly wonky with some flat spots. We don’t have chocks so we felt the slight incline. They do have flat campsite pitches with hookups too. I spent all day editing then hit a technical issue so it was a long Sunday 😄
Hi Alan, I can't believe it's 12 months since the Chocolate lad was with you both. Looks like some good weather up there in Scotland even though it's cold 🥶 . Wishing Sarah and yourself a lovely trip, it looks like Jack is going to be a handful.😂
