There must have been a lot of people on the set of this video having sympathy for Billy at the time and with that combination, gave others to make this video the best that it could be. AWESOME!!
Don't know about anyone else, but for me this video gives me some "Bladerunner" vibes. It reminds me of that scene in Taffy Lewis's nightclub. The one where he tracked down Zora right before he shot, er, i mean "retired" her. Something about the lighting and the set design and the bar patrons and all that, it looks like it was straight up lifted out of that movie. Even some of the scenes in the beginning before Billy goes out and just wakes up. The place he was living in reminds me of the type of place someone like Deckard or Sebastian would live in. Even the shot of him riding down the elevator and it showed the elevator from the outside of the building....it reminds me of the version of LA from that movie. Anyone else get that feeling?
1) The city skyline at the start 2) The boiling egg 3) The trenchcoat 4) The cane a la Gaff (Adward James Olmos) 5) The elevator gate like the one in The Bradbury building from the movie 6) The elevator like the one on Tyrell corps exterior 7) The tunnel 8) The worm in the drink 9) The bar is similar 10) The architecture at 1:58 11) Billy at the bar at 1:25 12) The reference to the eye at the start 13) Billy pursuing the woman 14) The whole noirish-Neo Tokyo/Los Angeles thing.

I think Billy got the job done properly when it came to being a rock star ,just look at him.
We saw him tonight. He’s still got it. 68 and still rocking.
He understood the assignment.

yeeeeah! i cant believe he sang it!! thanks billy idol! you are great!!
Idol returns to his rockabilly roots often and there is something refreshing about it
I was 18 when Charmed Life came, bought the cd in long box, and still have it, still play this, loud!
A great rock and roll voice. I remember seeing it on MTV. Its a pity he disappeared. I saw a 2010 live version of him here on TH-cam, but this one is much better.
it's a shame that nowadays just Billy Idol and a few bands
make good music and rock like this !
