@@BJI82a No, that kind of thing wouldnt work with og Hot Pursuit formula. Og Hot Pursuit works more as a simpler and refined to the maximum racing game with lots of options to customize your racing through a main menu, not a boring and empty open world with crash mechanics. That did happen, I originally played the psx version when I was little and I was very excited to play this on my pc as an adult, it seems like a completely different game, what the pc version improves in graphics, lacks in speed a playable fun...
I disagree. The cars seems to be slower in PC only because of the camera, the game gives you various options to change it, just the default one isnt very good. The handling is worse in PS1 because is much more stiff, not helped with the terrible collision system, while in PC you can make sharp turns easily if you are skilled to release the accelerator in the perfect moment.
@@sebastiankulche they tried to make the pc version more "realistic" and failed miserably. It feels like you're driving on snow all the time and the car always understeer unless you let your foot off the gas, making the car "drift". It's completely counter intuitive and the opposite of how things should work. About the speed, I agree, it could be the camera. I played countless hours of this game on the pc back then (bought my first 3d accelerator - a diamond stealth 2 v2100 with a whopping 4MB of vram lol - only to play this game) but only noticed how terrible the handling is after coming back to it more than 20 years later.
@@fullmetaljacket7 Eh, i think the contrary. The PS1 version is much more realistic than PC, but like i always said, realism doesnt make it better. The controls in the PC version are as perfect as you can think, while adapting very well to the track design. Is no how things should work in real life, but how things should work to make the game fun. While the control it seems to be very rigid, you have complete control over your car when you release the accelerator. You see, if you release it for too long, then obviously it would drift, and the car would be very hard to control, but if you only do this on curves, at the right moment, you could turn at any angle. This is much more easy with cars with good turn like Scighera, CLK-GTR, Jaguar XJR-15, Chevrolet Corvette, etc... (you can do this with any other car, even el niño, but only if you dominate this). If you look at videos about speedruns maybe you would noticed it, how releasing the gas, and accelerate in the right moment would make you turn without any problems, is all about timing, and much better than other 90s racing games that makes the driving all the time stiff, even at low speed, or games like with Choro Q 1 that while it tried the same, with the "releasing the gas mechanic" they putted for some reason a lot of oversteer with any minimum turn in the base handling, with tracks that werent designed for this clearly. Even when you are in a straight, with minimum curves like Hometown is good a base stiff handling, since eliminates innecesary oversteer, and makes you maintain speed, and being skilled to releasing the gas in the right moment. The only complain that i have with this driving physics is that sometimes when you hit a wall or a car, it feels like they have a magnet, but other than that, at best, along with CTR, they have some of the best controls i have ever experienced in a racing game, even to this day, something the PS1 port misses totally since to the sake for make the game more realistic, they maked the AI more unfair, with controls being stiff all the time, and they added oversteer and strange crash physics, even worse than the "magnet" thing of the PC version. Not even NFS4 on PC nailed this perfect handling completely, being at best a little more stiff than NFS3 when you want to release the gas in a turn, and being completely unplayable in rain without cars with excessive good handling like the Porsche Turbo or the Mclaren, despite they running in the same engine.
@@sebastiankulche releasing the gas to make it "drift" is definitely NOT how it should work, in any game of any era, period. It's not fun, it's not intuitive. Same goes for the driving on snow side of things. It's an understeer fiasco. Even nfs1 has a better handling mechanic than hot pursuit. Sure, you get used to it, but that doesn't make it good.

This is first NFS can be modded in PC
I have game on my modern PC can actually run this game
What if racecars have a horn?
hola gusto mucho el video
This brought back memories racing with my dad in 2 player. We wore this game out. But I can not remember the track with the Benz CLK GTR. What's it called?
Empire City.
