wow ! had no idea the Wabash was this capable, Yamaha says "allroad and adventure" but yikes mtb single track, amazing! and on stock tires too! looks like there's room for larger more trail designed tires and maybe other gravel mods, thanks for the ride along!!
Thank you for this awesome video! Have you experienced the notorious bottom creaking after an intense ride like that? Multiple riders (myself included) are chasing the root cause of this annoying sound it but no luck yet. The most common suggestions of crank bolts and motor mounts tightening don’t seem to help. It seems to only appear when ridden hard and applying serious pressure to the pedals, and it doesn’t go away after…
I have experienced this before on other bikes and just this morning on my Crosscore RC. It typically comes from a part that lacks lubrication or has dirt/dust build up. Most often in a spot where two pieces are coming into contact but only slightly. For the crank, I would bet taking off the crank arm and greasing it would help. Think of it like you would a squeak door hinge.
Thank you, but a bunch of us on Reddit have already tried that… Headset, saddle, seat post, pedals, cranks, crank bolts, battery clamp mount, motor mounts… Still no permanent solution and we see it across all Yamaha ebikes, when ridden hard…
Nope, I wish it was to easy! ;) Already tightened those bolts right after picking up the bike from the dealer, along with everything else that could be tightened and adjusted. We can replicate the creak when riding hands-free or out of the saddle. You can hear it when applying heavy pressure on either pedal, either when riding or stationary. Still waiting for one lucky rider or a different Yamaha dealer to come up with a fix, but no luck so far…
@@707randomstuff darn, well I hope you find the culprit. Please let us know if you do. I will likely put some lubricant on the handlebar itself on the crosscore rc.
I didn't need another bike, electric or pedal, but when I saw the Wabash RT for less than $1700 and a free battery, I bought one. The dealer had my Wabash RT inspected and assembled when I picked it up. I haven't ridden yet, but I like how the bike handled the trail in your video,
@@waterboxer87 thanks! It did really well. The only major thing I would change would be the placement of the dropper switch and swap the tires to tubeless so I can run lower pressure.
For such trail, why didn't you get the one of the Moro's, i am wondering? Also, did you ride the same trail with Crosscore? I think the CC may handle better than the Wabash as the CC has a suspension fork?
@@ethanhu7048 it was more a test to see if it could hold up on that trail. It did well. I agree, this is more well suited for the Moro. I have a 2019 giant trance e+ pro which has the same motor and battery as the Moro. It’s a lot more fun on that trail. 😅 While I think the crosscore could do it. I think like you said I’ll stick to riding my giant on mtb trails.
I'm waiting for delivery of Wabash. I've already ordered crankbrothers Highline Drop Bar Remote gen 2 for the dropper, so I can use it without moving my hands.

I don't recommend that mount, it does not fit well. I bought it at REI though. I recommend the one above.
@@skynels3744 sorry, what happened was my apple watch was covered in sweat. I couldn’t get it to wake up and tell me how far I’d went and my heart bpm. So I stopped and fixed it. I cut that out for overall brevity sake.

@@DD-xx8wh I think the stock tires are plenty good. If I were running tubeless, I’d have had a much more comfortable ride for sure.
