As mentioned several times below, if you really want to get a feel for the Allman Brothers, get rid of the studio versions and listen to live versions, ESPECIALLY if you want to hear Whipping Post. If you listen to their live work, you probably won't go back. Edited to say, the same would go for Rush, Journey. Those bands seem to really turn it loose live.
