If you put a trampoline near the goalpole in the SM3DW game style, Mario will not even do his victory animation. Try doing it yourself.

Does the silent checkpoint glitch work in reverse? If you collect a checkpoint as a skewer is making a noise, is the skewer silent?
1:00 seems to be bigger hitboxes
Do skewers share the same sound channel as the checkpoint flag?
Probably not, but its posible that due of been 2 sounds played at once, the game could only be albe to handle one of them...
"Sound channels" as you're describing arent really a thing on modern hardware. The thing with the checkpoint is because skewer sound effects intentionally cancel many other sound effects in the game (for effect), just that checkpoint sounds happen to be included in those and are easily noticable.

same with the shell momentum, that’s just a normal mechanic
Uno Mas literally translates to one more, or another one, not sure what that has do do with weird smm2 mechanics though...

I think the second one isn't much of an Uno Mas only because it's just simple hitbox manipulation. Most platformers/open world games have something like this.
While yes Hitbox Manipulation can lead to a bunch of other glitches (like out of bounds glitches in open worlds) they're not so much of a glitch because it was technically programmed to work like that.
Yeah, but its like an really obscure mechanic that is not seen like an everyday SMM2 playthrough...
