I've learned a streamlined way to do this, although I admittedly still don't do it rigorously. Maybe someday I'll finally learn....Anyway, streamlined method is identify the throw-outs (20% stuff happens group), then make the remaining contenders add up to 80%. ....Speeds up process and leverages 80/20 rule.
Yes, eliminating the Stuff Happens group and identifying 1 or 2 of those, can help with the rest of the4 betting line.
The true reason the value percentage should be 115-130% is because of takeout. You can toss on whatever extra % you want (never going to hurt) but you're supposed to do it to account for takeout.
IMO,In Horseracing,There's no such Thing as Value in a losing Bet,that's why it's Hard to Win on this Game A Win Bet on 3/5 is Value,than a SHOW BET on 30-1, or HIGHER...
