It's sort of a stored momentum whiff. I hit the can with anything I want. The can stores that knockback. Then I can hit it with a pigeon to whiff it and default back to the last knockback it stored. Whenever you whiff a can, it will do this. I used late hit dash to store it, catch it with a pigeon as it falls to make it use that knockback again.
